    Default Forgetfulness is a capital crime in Ancardia

    No dump, but this was my run with that DE Necro with a RoDS that was posted a few days ago.

    Times were high for _,. I'd gotten the puppy, killed kranach, and cleared the VD in preparation for my switching the N or L. There was an altar in VD so I blessed my water and wished for 7LBs. Did I mention there was an AoLS in the outlaw settlement? Seriously.

    I found a few more altars in the early CoC levels. I made a few dumb mistakes like live saccing (with minimal equipment on) so I converted one from N to C and the other from L to N before using gold to change myself to N (I prefer to be L for early game so I sac everything in site and get precrowned). The other mistake was forgetting to put my boots back on on the way back across the map. That wasn't a real problem, but a few extra days spent needlessly. I figured I would put up with cursing and teleported out of the outlaw shop with all the goods including the AoLS and a cudgel of devastation.

    I ran back to the CoC to sac up to +lucky . The theft had lowered me from N- to CN so I put on a rusty girdle (no artifacts yet) and and sacced gold until I bumped back up. I was running around looking for dumb saps to sac when I opened a door that I didn't recall was closed for a reason. The cave lion wouldn't have been a problem in theory. The problem was I had forgotten to put my 7LB and other equipment back on. And forgot that I had forgotten. : ( I was really low on health for some reason. Two steps away and I was dead.

    Ah, shit happens. I'm happy you used my character and were doing very well, though

    When I lock cats in a room, I leave a gold piece next to the door as a reminder. Even if a monster picks it up, it'll still show up in the map unless you wander near that area (and then you can drop it again). Similarly, I drop two gp above either staircase when a level supports herbs but is generated with very few and they all wither.
