    Default Drake Barbarian (quite lucky, but boring)

    Drakeling Barbarian (Sword)

    By far the easiest breeze through the game I ever had (early-game spitting power, late game Vanquisher).
    If not for the first kill (giant rat) I might've considered trying for an ultra ending before deciding to crown. Will definitely try keeping that possibility open in the future now that I got my 3rd win in a short time after years of dying (and not playing much).

    - Started by going to SMC, retrieved blanket in stairs-room at level 3.
    - Descended through UD: 2 lesser vaults (cleared undead, half-cleared gnoll, finished later), lawful altar (convert, get to very pleased), scroll shop: utility scrolls (robbed later), wand shop: digging, stun, cold, magic missiles
    - learned Pickpocketing
    - saved carpenter, didn't bother with Puppy Cave
    - killed Hotzenplotz with magic missile wands from UD, learned Trap detection, later open locks (first time I used open locks, quite a bit more useful than I thought since one can lock open doors in one turn)
    - off to CoC (at level ~11 I think)
    - Big Room: stabilize herbs, but don't farm much
    - Thrundarr: kill Tarantula
    - first 19 arena fights, but no tarantula
    - stay in Big Room for a while, pacify after finding some door creation (digging had only 1 charge), but lose most herbs while generating bigger farm due to 2 generations in 2(!!!) turns (had to clear 2 bushes, Herbalism ~60). only moss left, but got quite a bit morgia and some spense too, no stoma
    - level 15: Pyramid (no problem, but no tarantula either)
    - Griffyard, no problems at all, dig up sword for sacrificing later
    - somewhere in upper CoC: spider factory gets generated: Tarantulas!
    - do rest of dwarven quests: DH:1 had tension room right at start with ancient blue dragon so flee: forest was quite tedious (used 3 pots of invis on the way back)
    - somewhere below Dwarftown two nice herb levels with unopened tension rooms -> no monster generation in one and none in the other one after locking away a wererat + summons. Farm ~50 stoma, enough morgia/moss for the rest of the game and ~100 spense (Herbalism already 100). Use starvation training (+2x Sickness for To I think)
    - get Dwarven Shield, keep Big Punch (was using adamantium spear (from UD?) before).
    - visit Darkforge: golems fall easily enough to mighty blows with Big Punch (healing with spense between fights). Fight the way to weapons /armor: murderous eternium two-handed sword replaces Big Punch / red dragon scale mail replaces AMW
    - sacrifice Big Punch / Moon Sickle / Sword of Nonnak / stoma -> crowning (L): ==Elec, Vanquisher. Yay!!! Didn't spit anymore after that I think (but some bow-and-arrow action with slaying missiles).
    - shortly after find ring of teleport control: dwarven mystic gives axe (hmpf, with any other character great, this one didn't care)
    - with TC biggest fear gone -> Darkforge for pool sipping: +SeeInvis, +Curs, wish (AoLS), +Tele. stopped there, since i found a cloak of invis somewhere along the way.
    - return to UD to rob scroll shop (identify, uncursing, teleport (used to rob), item detection), buy more wands from wand shop and sell old wands with 0 charges (because those are too unreliable).
    - try to get blink dog corpse by taming 3 of them, but no corpses generated. Well I have the ring (and wore it for the whole game)
    - Tomb of the High Kings: on bottom level look for wand of cold --Noooooooo!-- ...must've sold those too. Back to UD, buy back one wand of cold, back to TotHK, booze it up, kill Skeleton King in one tremendous blow.
    - water temple: snake is pushover (softened with lightninh or magic missile through demons, 2 hits in darkness). Take corpse.
    - have 3 fireproof blankets (bless one), some higher metal gear and RDSM (no regeneration, but heaps of spense + Water Orb (but orb not used)): try ToEF. Constant damage, but spense helps. Do this as fast as possible (with >200 speed) after cooking snake corpse. On top level exchange teleport control ring for ring of invisiblity (under elemental gauntlets). stun ACW with wand on 5th try (through demons), kill in few hits.
    - bring snake and wyrm to druid (ignore other corpses even with Food Preservation 100: too tedious)
    - breeze through mid-/late-game:
    - casino has Skullcrusher, blue dragon scale mail, but no need, and one pot of exchange
    - dip 3 rings of damage into the one(!) blessed potion of exchange for fun: unid'ed rings: djinni summoning (Lady Luck smiles on this Barbarian). What to wish for? 7LB's (4 pairs)! and ... dunno ... scrolls of education x2 (gardening, appraising, concentration, law, archery). Well archery is nice. Did try to write more of those later, managed one before the writing set disappeared.
    - cat lord gives ring, wear it for the remainder of the game (except in undead vault because of needed -conf)
    - greater undead vault (one big room with 2 alcoves, teleport in one of them: Whirlwind, in the other one there is no space (was staff of the archmagi, recovered after closing the gate).
    - lesser white dragon vault (never gotten this far with a drakeling): seems to go well enough, speed gets a bit low (~80), but recovers fast enough, Breach central chamber with great white wyrm: speed goes almost instantly to 17 and stays there: teleport out, try to kill them one on one, nice xp, but they get many actions in between turns. finally manage to kill them all (no artifacts), level got overrun by green jellies in the meantime (read a uncursed scroll of vermin control before when I saw some, but that didn't work despite message I didn't fear breeders anymore. Does it have to be blessed?).
    - lure out archmage with griffon-feathered arrows, leave chaos wizards be. Blind him with pot of invis, dies in few hits (easiest fight I had against him, and that at level ~28).
    - greater moloch drops armor on D:48, still have much moss on me, but decide against training Dx another ~15 points (I think that was possible at the time), because it would've taken quite some time to see those increases.
    - D:50 : found 2 wands of destruction along the way, but walls are non-diggable: fight through to corridors, clear them with ease, handle levers, destroy them (level 35 by now), kill 2 balors after that and teleport out (with wand from assassins guild).
    - Do BDC for fun, Sraxxarakex (sp?) is a pushover (4 normal hits?). BDC nets Preserver (wore ankh the whole game).
    - Since i got one of the twins (and a scorched spear) from Shaador, get the other one and kill some assassins with them.
    - search for and talk to Blup's mommy
    - do Unicorn quest, get rid of corruption (still have 4 SoCR left, only 1 SoCR and 2 PoCC used) (for stiff muscles, very light, mana battery)
    - try to give Kelly the rest of the SoCR's, but he just said he read those already a while ago.
    - tell Blup about his Mom and leave for home (should've spared one of those wishes for the puppy, didn't think of that, but now I can at least plant pretty flowers when I get home)

    If I remember correctly first time I saw an instrument other than a whistle was in the casino, so Music remained at 6 points until there was nothing left to improve. Only tamed blink dogs with bones.

    Cats I just ran away from/locked them away (found boots of speed fairly early, that helped, plus pick locks from Yergius). No cats in arena for me either (I don't remember if I had a way of dealing then as i was trying for first dwarven quest kill in arena, and rotmc isn't all that high on my priorities list, although it's very nice to have).
