My bad, forgot confusion resistance. Death resistance comes from being a moloch. Good luck with thrown coins on regenerating quickling with massive PV. I'm pretty sure trmenous blow won't kill him in one turn, while he can kill you in 3000 energy points as a quickling. Something like 20 attacks ignoring DV and PV for 300ish damage. High level pet will go down as fast as you. Mindcraft is ok, I guess. Let's add him ultimate hostility trait - all other creatures attack him as alert traps, so meat shields won't work. Finally, no djinni strangling.

Edit: check Grey's link. Adding water-crossing trait to my mob.

I like my women like my ADOM loot - hunted as treasure and in extra quantity.

You can drop a greater moloch in one hit with a tremendous blow if you have the right weapon and your skills/stats are high enough. With 99 St and max two-handed weapon, a barbarian can do 6d5+134 with a regular eternium two-hander. Add in blessing, slaying, and triple damage tremendous blow, throw on a penetration suffix and you can dish out over 1000 armor-penetrating damage in one hit. I think that is enough to at least have a chance to one-shot any monster in the game except Andor. If you used a few hundred thousand scrolls of melee damage, you could knock out Andor in one hit as well.
Any time a player finds Executor and fails to use it, the RNG kills a cute dog.

Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

Designing a very deadly or annoying monster is not that hard.. I do think Jellyslayer has the most clever approach to it with the quicklings. Even the ability to simply poison, quite harmless on snakes, becomes dangerous at very high speed (queen). If you add an ability that is already dangerous on a monster with normal speed, you're going to kill a lot of characters.

Designing a monster that is stylish, with a name that fits the setting, is harder. I believe the reason TB didn't want to make the code public was to prevent people from adding absurdities.. I hope his decision to allow donators to design and add content works out well.

You steal a scroll labelled HITME. The orc hits you.

Well, if you show me a demon/humanoid slayer with penetration, I will believe you. With Vanquisher you can get 900 dmg - PV. With penetrating you'll get 600 tops. There is a cap for melee damage scrolls, no?

Edit: my bad again, forgot blessing. 1200ish - PV with Vanquisher is certainly doable. Well, we can always give him more hp.

Are you sure there is a cap for melee damage scrolls? I admit I haven't tested very much. But I know that there is no cap for the armor scrolls. Also, you can make the weapon with slaying powers if you put missile prefixes/suffixes on your weapon

    Code:
    Penetrating eternium two-handed sword of slaying (+18 6d5+18) (50s)
Any time a player finds Executor and fails to use it, the RNG kills a cute dog.

It seems so far that a lot of the intention is to make truly dangerous monsters who are just scary hurdles to get past. I personally was intending to just have a reference to a character from one of my RPGs of some sort - I haven't decided who yet, I'll see what the potential packages are first so that I can match it better.

It makes sense to make your unique wandering monster, well, unique - but I don't feel the need to make it needlessly deadly just to illustrate its uniqueness. Though I wouldn't turn down some free extra HP to ensure it gets noticed =)

@JellySlayer: I confused your ridiculous contraption with the ridiculous contraption called the Biltcliffe beast. Not sure why people are inventing variations on it now.
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

Actually, I just got a rather large paycheck today, and am intending on donating $250 later for the sole purpose of putting this in the game. The only way to prevent this is if the crowdfunding campaign succeeds in tge next 24 hours or so...

Erm, not to rain on anyone's parade but the Hero reward text says:

"you get to specify a non-unique EXISTING monster race, the monster gender, the monster name and one (two for Champion, three for Lord) special power out of a preselected set"

So as far as I understand, that means that you can create things like "Khorum, the invisible troll" or "Phelgam, the teleporting female ratling" or if you pledge $250 maybe "Khlrrr'krr'hrr'trr, the blinking, corrupting, exploding cave tiger". But a tiger vortex sounds like a new race to me; and teleporting, exploding, water damage, damaging clothes and blinding are five powers and not three...

How about teleporting quickling moloch with doppleganger evasion? Also karmic, immune to all elements, resistant to blindness, stun, petrification, paralysis and magic missile. Ignores traps and webs, passes through walls and smashes doors. Disarms and dissolves items on the floor including artifacts. Ignores PV and DV.
His only weakness is cute dogs. Whenever he sees one, he goes in panic state indefinitely.
Also, you can't get one with SoFS or a figurine.
Monk or assasin can kill him no matter how high his PV and health are.
