He may have been standing in a corrupting area when he did it.

gut gives the best advice ever if you play on the server on IRC with him. He convinced me to kill and eat the oracle on a Troll Barbarian. I wasn't even literate. What the hell was I gonna do with a learning boost? Oh, and I didn't have access to an altar to remove the dooming. Why do we let him talk us into doing these things?

I couldn't contain myself when I read the last two lines.

This is correct. It contains the essence of ChAoS and is pretty corrupting--I recall getting at least 2 corruptions in a couple k turns.

grah was going to precrown, and I suggested that if he got the black
tome, he should read it. He said OK and sure enough, black tome. He
found a nice semi-secluded space (D:3 I think) and started reading.
Here is a list of the possible spells (and turns) it could have been:
Code:
LIGHT....................6 turns, 3 PPs
DARKNESS.................7 turns, 4 PPs
CURE LIGHT WOUNDS........8 turns, 5 PPs
SLOW POISON..............9 turns, 6 PPs
SLOW MONSTER............10 turns, 7 PPs

BLESS...................11 turns, 8 PPs
BURNING HANDS...........11 turns, 8 PPs
CALM MONSTER............11 turns, 8 PPs
CURE DISEASE............11 turns, 8 PPs
DESTROY UNDEAD..........11 turns, 8 PPs
MAGIC LOCK..............11 turns, 8 PPs
MAGIC MISSILE...........11 turns, 8 PPs
STUN RAY................11 turns, 8 PPs

CURE SERIOUS WOUNDS.....13 turns, 10 PPs
DISARM TRAP.............13 turns, 10 PPs
FIRE BOLT...............13 turns, 10 PPs
INVISIBILITY............13 turns, 10 PPs
KNOW ALIGNMENT..........13 turns, 10 PPs
NEUTRALIZE POISON.......13 turns, 10 PPs
STRENGTH OF ATLAS.......13 turns, 10 PPs

FROST BOLT..............15 turns, 12 PPs
KNOCK...................15 turns, 12 PPs
LIGHTNING BOLT..........15 turns, 12 PPs
SCARE MONSTER...........15 turns, 12 PPs
WEB.....................15 turns, 12 PPs

ACID BOLT...............18 turns, 15 PPs
CURE CRITICAL WOUNDS....18 turns, 15 PPs
FARSIGHT................20 turns, 17 PPs
FIRE BALL...............23 turns, 20 PPs
TELEPORTATION...........25 turns, 22 PPs
ICE BALL................28 turns, 25 PPs

IMPROVED FIREBALL.......33 turns, 30 PPs
LIGHTNING BALL..........33 turns, 30 PPs
SUMMON MONSTERS.........33 turns, 30 PPs
REVELATION..............36 turns, 33 PPs
ACID BALL...............38 turns, 35 PPs

HEAL....................43 turns, 40 PPs
MAGIC MAP...............43 turns, 40 PPs
REMOVE CURSE............53 turns, 50 PPs
IDENTIFY................78 turns, 75 PPs
EARTHQUAKE..............83 turns, 80 PPs

DEATH RAY..............103 turns, 100 PPs
GREATER IDENTIFY.......103 turns, 100 PPs
MYSTIC SHOVEL..........103 turns, 100 PPs
PETRIFICATION..........123 turns, 120 PPs
CREATE ITEM............253 turns, 250 PPs
WISH..................3003 turns, 3000 PPs
As you might imagine, the odds of the rng pulling 'wish' aren't good.
We thought the worst that could happen was petrification or create
item. Maximum would have probably been 1 - 1.5 corruptions had it been
anything except wish. As things were, the turns were rolling by the
hundreds and monsters came to bash him as he read. Instead of
cancelling the read, he was a sport and just kept hitting 'y' and took
the beating by the now room-full of monsters. He was blessed with
every horrible corruption the game had to offer. He didn't even get a
successful read, so no casting points of anything, just the corruption.

Also, yes, there is a guttbot in #adom. It gives helpful hints and
scans the gb (or IGB) for info that we are all too lazy to look up
manually. It's current features are these:

This is the best feature of guttbot! Random toss between "take the risk" and "play it safe", the latter usually followed by gutt moaning "coward bot".

.badpoetry is easily my favorite implemented feature, though! Just look at these, they're awesome.

[16:46] <sirtheta> .badpoetry
[16:46] <guttbot> Advice to goodwives of Terinyo, there are people you should never follow. If near the border you see, a hero beckoning thee, you likely will see no tommorow.

[16:47] <Bloody_Lemon> .badpoetry
[16:47] <guttbot> When you are seeking piety, remember to do so with nudity. The one who forgets will be plagued with regrets, they will rage quit and bemoan their stoopudity.

Is there a collection of all guttvice and badpoetry somewhere? I'm not a big IRC user, but I sure would like to have a laugh reading this
"And light there be!"

Not outside of the IRC channel, I don't think. You could do "/msg guttbot .badpoetry," and then repeatedly issue the .badpoetry command in that message window. Same thing for .guttvice.
If I recall correctly, I think gut said there were 40 guttvices and 5 bad poetries. So issuing the .guttvice command 50 times would get you all 40 guttvices about 73% of the time. 100 times would increase that to 93%. And 15 .badpoetry commands would get you all 5 poems at least once 97% of the time. Of course, all of this is based on the hazardous assumption that my math isn't faulty.
