Default the joys of not caring

thundar wants me to kill a werewolf lord? cant find one anywhere? well stuff literacy then, ive got a game to play (orc barb), do arena and cross the ani forest, let khelly die, get water orb, go to high kings tomb, do fire temple, visit mystic, reach casino. BAM poison hands corruption.
no trouble i think to myself, ill just read one of my SoCR.. oh wait. illiterate still, werewolf lords appear to be extinct. ill just drink my pocc, oh wait, poison hands and no thick gauntlets.. hmm i guess ill use my RoDS (that i found level after khelly of course) on literacy.. next level down is WEREWOLF LORD. ugh.
so i figure ill see what creature he wants me to kill next.. a giant rust monster? you know what thundarr, you can save your own village, imma gonna go finish the game and have fun instead, i dont care bout your troubles and that brings me great joy.

Lol. Reminds me of my current human fighter. Needs to kill a ghost lord. 'Yay', I thought at first.. At least those are guaranteed on D50, unlike shadow lords which I also get much too often as quest (and can never find). So ignoring the quest I find my first ghost lord on ~D43 after killing like 10 shadow lords already (really?!?). Second quest: vampire. And I'm sure I've wiped out the entire UD graveyard already :s

I made the same decision regarding saving Kelly some time ago. If I can't find the AoLS or a wish either early on, through digging graves in GY:1 or maybe raiding the WDL, I say "to hell with it" and let him die.

If you can deal with the consequences of gravedigging, great treasure graves will spawn a master lich most of the time, and those summon ghost lords among other mid-level undead. Although invisibility would be recommendable for short-lived PCs.

Otherwise, the TotHK is usually a favorite to visit for these rare monsters.

i didnt get the pot, because i had poison hands, was illiterate, had no thick gauntlets and thus could not read nor drink my corruption away, i used my ring of djinn for literacy so i could read one of the scrolls.
first time i have ever wisherd for literacy lol.

Isn't the potion of literacy an artifact, and thus immune to being transformed by poison hands?
