    Yes, the thief should still have RoDS in the Dwarftown shop.

    @elenie, for the bard, I think the most important thing to do is just get her on her feet. Even if we don't complete, just having the character not at level 1 and with some decent gear is probably good enough. If it helps, there should be vaults on D:2 and D:9. Big room is D:6, IIRC.

    The artifacts available are:

    Potion of literacy - illiterate or low literacy characters. Most of our PCs should be able to get this one, assuming Thrundarr quest is passable.

    Phial of Caladriel - with light source and a bit of luck, this should be in the cards for most PCs. A couple of our guys have disarm traps, which can simplify this place a lot (doesn't work in the dark though)

    Black torc - Wizard already has it. Ranger and Bard have the option. Relatively easy one.

    Ankh/Mummy Wrapping - I'd prefer to not to sac these if we can avoid it, but if we have to, we have to. Our characters are a bit far from level 13, but we have turns to burn, so it should be doable. Troll this is probably not possible, and might be a stretch for the bard. Wizard should be able to get these, I think.

    Sword of Nonnak - Available to all PCs. Not sure easy with low PV, but worse comes to worse you can just holy water Griff, lose Nonnak in the maze and dig out the grave while he's still alive.

    Moon sickle - Might get lucky and find this. It sounds like Wizard might have seen this on D:13?

    Big Punch - Assuming Thrundarr quests can be cleared. AF/DH is probably the worst part of it.

    Rolf Set - Lawfuls always get the axe, IIRC, so with teleport + control this should be available. Shield is fairly unlikely.

    Golden gladius - Most PCs should be able to get this. Better to do after Pyramid if possible.

    Harder stuff - Raw steel + Crown of science are available. Probably too difficult for any of our PCs except maybe Wizard, who doesn't need it.

    Note: The CK will need to convert to neutral to have access to most of these quests. This means you need fire resistance, and a bit of patience. I understand that you need to sac about 300 gold one at a time on an altar to convert.

    In terms of turncount, we have:
    Bard: 16k turns
    CK: 14k turns
    Wizard: 8k turns
    Thief: 12k turns
    Ranger: 12k turns

    Quite a bit to play with, but there's lots of ground to cover.

    I guess that means I get the CK, since Carter already played him last round.

    Will have to think carefully about this. CK isn't a strong class for me.

    Okay, here is current status so far on Chaos Knight. Things have worked out extremely well for me actually. Still have plenty of turns to go, and have 4 artifacts so far.

    Did a quick check of VDDL. Didn't have the right wands, so not much of interest there. Headed back to CoC. First report mentioned a mixed vault on D:6, which I cleared (there was an altar nearby I could have used for sac, but I need xp and gear more than piety). Picked up Poison Resist and Cursed from accidentally attacking a karmic lizard. Get our gear status IDed at altar. Cleared a spider vault on D:9ish. Ironically, found a random phase dagger drop lying on the ground. Life is full of little ironies. Found Moon Sickle on D:12. Equip because I'm desperate for healing. Might have been a bad idea, but oh well.

    Fought around in Big Room up to level 13... didn't take too long thanks to vault xps from earlier. Added two corruptions thanks to Moon Sickle--babbling mouth and thin and nimble. Not great, as the latter exacerbates our already somewhat serious food situation. Cleared Pyramid without too much trouble... there was a ghost lord on the top level, but I safely avoided him. Got ankh and mummy wrapping. Water trap rusted our full plate armor, which was later destroyed unfortunately. But we have mummy wrapping for now. Dove through Gremlin Cave easily enough to grab the Phial.

    Big question now is where do the next artifacts come from. I've used only about 6k of my 14k available turns, so I have lots of time to burn. If I can get fire resistance, then I can access Dwarf Quests, Arena, maybe even grab Healing. No guaranteed source though, so I'd have to scum Big Room or something. One alternative is attempting Darkforge. With ~30 PV, ankh, and Moon Sickle (if I can disarm Moon Sickle, I also do have that phase dagger), I probably have a shot to clear it. Lots of benefits, probably 3-4 levels plus armory access if I can. This can give up to three artifacts that would all be fine to sac. Not sure that I'm strong enough, but I do have a lot of HP and PV, so it's worth thinking about. Suggestions would be appreciated. Anyway, this is where I've stopped for the moment:

    [edit]Cleared into main room of in DF with little difficulty (though added mana battery and poison hands... sorry guys, I may be screwing us over real bad with corruption if we can't save Khelly... I should be able to get to the armory and get a different weapon, though I will need to figure out how to ditch Moon sickle).

    [edit2]Got crown of science. That's 5 now. Based on turncount, I think I'm gonna kill Guth'Alak for the last one. This PC is probably gonna be a mess by the time this turn is done.

    Done. That was terrible. I apologize in advance to next player.

    Donated the shield of raw steel, crown of science, ankh, AMW, crystal phial and moon sickle. Added 5 corruptions, pretty much all bad ones. Note that Terinyo is hostile and Guth'Alak is dead. So no healing, pretty much ever.

    On the plus side, Darkforge stash yielded a weapon of vampirism that helps greatly with our HP problems. We also have an eternium halberd and phase dagger for more general stuff. Food is still an issue. There's some stoma in the Big Room. Note that you have unholy aura and are dangerously close to Waldenbrook at the moment (hence the invisibility)... though honestly, we are probably strong enough to kill him. I'm not sure about piety level, but I think it's probably best to assume we have no prayers available. We're also pretty tough... level 17 with massive HP and To. There's a stash of assorted weapons and a spare suit of armor on D:1, IIRC, but nothing as good as we already have.

    I actually had about 1500 turns left, but I didn't feel like doing any more damage

    Oh, also:
    We have Poison Resist, Luck, Curse (pretty sure), Teleport Control. We do have a few castings of teleport that could come in handy in case of emergency.
    Opal ring is damage. Very handy. Tin wand I believe is digging, but we have mana battery...

    ok Wizard is done

    artifacts fed: Ankh, Sword of Nonnah, Crown of Science, Phial, Torc and Moonsickle.

    Came very, very close to running out of turns i was at dwarftown at L with about 200 moves to go. Ended up having to kill some dwarven children. The town doesn't seem to be hostile though (go figure?) There are some muscular dwarves who are pretty angry though...

    Griffyard: Done - easy found a nice eternium flail that helped stuff along a bit.
    Pyramid: Done - super easy, had found fireball in the griffyard.
    Darkforge: Majority done - there was nothing good in the bottom vault except for a 50s halberd which i suspect is probably wyrmlance. Hung onto it so that we can use it against the AKW - did the forge with acid ball - i was able to push to 32 WI by using the potion of gain attributes we had + herbs + nonnak. however Nonnak is now gone so we're 5 WI short of the 32 barrier again.
    Gremlin Cave: done - ate up alot of moves killed a heap of gremlins, probably too many.
    Wiped out a vault on D12 that had alot of spellbooks, unfortunately most of them were shit, but lugging a few around if you have turns spare next time.
    Tried to look for a hill orc sarg for awhile in the hills, no dice. But the quest is still in play if your keen i guess.

    WARNINGS:

    There is a lich king at the bottom of the griff yard from grave digging. I ran with our 7LB and didn't look back.
    Waldenbrook is hostile but is on extremely low health. One more acid ball and he is toast. We have 1 cursed invis potion as backup if things get real.
    We're cursed due to the Waldenbrook erm "accident" - but not really a problem for a character this strong tbh.

    Notes:

    Acid ball book stashed in the barb's glade with some scrolls.
    Our piety is ok, i prayed twice for PP in darkforge because i was running low on turns but still enough to bless holy water (we have like 7 potions)

    Bard is done - phew. Some close calls (most notably getting paralyzed multiple times) and the char still feels a bit wimpy but she lives.
    Failed the mission of course.

    Started out in the wilderness killing jackals (too weak for anything else and didn't want to risk dying to a trap). Got to lvl 4.
    Explored to DD 4. Went for Kranach (to get money for stealth or other goodies), but my pet killed him.
    Keethrax generated at lvl 6.
    Sacced enough to get lucky intrinsic. PC has a river on lvl 3 or 4, so I turned around. Didn't feel up to Keethrax, so I left for CoC. We're not members of the thieves' guild yet but have probably pickpocketed enough since.
    First levels of CoC were uneventful, though I almost died to ochre jellies on level 10, had to pray. There may still be jellies behind the closed doors.
    Waldenbrook had a wand of digging and some other stuff (crystal of knowledge, shields). Thrundarr asked me to kill a hill giant.
    D:11 has two down staircases, cleared spider vault and got poison resistance.
    Found a whip of devastation, best weapon so far. Also have 2 rings of invisibility.
    Killed a named chaos sister on D:10, went up and cleared out some vaults.
    Went to VDDL and got randomly teleported to the down staircase - lol. Wand has 1 charge.
    Cleared the surface part of Griffyard. We have ring of cold resistance but ghuls are still scary and I had only a few hundred turns left, so I went to Pyramid and peeked in (have not retrieved the tools).
    Top level of pyramid has a chaos spider and a black wizard. Killed some things, then retreated.
    We have 1 charge of wand of fire, invisibility but no curaria and almost no means of healing. I would guess that we have 2 prayers left.

    Notes for next player:
    Neither pyramid nor Griffyard have been finished. On our first foray into the pyramid's top level, we had to leave after clearing out some monsters. Also, be very careful around ghuls. We don't have waterproof blankets so explore carefully.
    Keethrax is still alive, and an altar is in the same dungeon. We can also join the thieves' guild and learn some skills (stealth).
    We just need 8 more jackals for courage, maybe we'll pick them up in the pyramid.
    Take care - things can still hit us regularly. Free action would be awesome at this point.
