    Ok, so the new EG doesn't spawn until the first one is dispatched, right? There's time to teleport to the stairs. I didn't go to the tomb, because the TOEF took many turns.

    I hope there is another altar somewhere down, otherwise I have to go all the way up to Dwarftown again just for crowning.

    Currently on D:27 and descending... We should really wish for something with the RoDS. We have 4 SoCR from the mystic left and the second corruption (after very light) was tough scales, which is actually beneficial.
    So maybe Girdle of giant strength for mega eternium 2hander damage with fire orb?

    Ok, things are getting out of control with the EG. I shot a missile at him and waited for him to approach. Then I teleported on the stairs but got directed elsewhere in the level. I thought maybe you're not allowed to teleport directly on the stairs, so I teleported immediately back to the adjacent field. Now there is the new guardian on the stairs and the hostile one chasing me.
    Please help, I always have a certain ring at this point!

    A new EG spawns the instant there's a blank spot on the stairs.

    Here's how I did it:
    1) Attack the EG in coward in melee.
    2) Step ONE space away from the stairs.
    3) Observe EG step off the stairs.
    4) Immediately teleport onto the stairs. If you wait even one more turn a new EG spawns.

    BTW someone suggested killing him makes you more chaotic. So don't.

    I just saved saved the game at turn 44129 (so roughly 800 turns before my 12000 limit) because JellySlayer is about to post the next mission.

    I finally found an altar on D:42 and got crowned. Now I could have quickly converted the air altar, but the second one would have been tight: Water is too far away already (and there are two hostile EGs between), and Earth temple wasn't cleared yet.

    Anyway, the character is getting more and more fun to play. I had a blast! Had to make a lot of breaks for work stuff, so the real life time limit hit before the turn limit.

    Mistanarius is on the Air temple level. I ended 100 turns shy. I didn't start clearing the temple because well, we're going to fail this mission anyway with 100 turns left, but I at least wanted us to have a chance at the next.

    He's on turn 32982.

    I'll post a full report later, but if you're looking for crucial information:
    1) He has poison hands. He also has thick gauntlets, which I equip only when necessary (INCLUDING if I think I want to drink our one potion of ultra healing)
    2) He's currently fairly wounded.
    3) He's at "favors you" last time he checked, ~3000 turns ago.
    4) He has 1 holy water, and 3 regular water. If you *must* bless something, bless the 3 regular water stack first.
    5) He's VERY corrupt. Might not be terrible to skip crowning at this point, since it doesn't help on the mission (I didn't have the stuff to hit extremely close)
    6) The Eternal Guardian and CAt Lord are both hostile and alive. The Cat Lord level is fairly safe, but obviously don't hang out there.
    7) We have excellent slaying arrows... and no bow. Not sure how that happened, but it happened sometime during my turn.

    He's actually level 11 in polearms and level... 7 in 2H, although the chaos power makes that harder to see. On roughly half the turns he's a grand master with polearms.

    Notes from last mission:
    I drink one of the potions of insight (might as well check): -Fire, -Poison, -Acid, +Lucky, +Cursed(REALLY? Let's get rid of this. Spoiler alert: I don't remember to), +TCtrl, 1 hp/38, 1 mana/55.

    I read through Harwin's report carefully and just like him I start with a visit to the Dwarven Mystic.
    I'm rewarded with the 4 ?oCR and the ring of ice
    Talk to Thrundarr and open portal
    Descend to water temple and clear it (slaying ammo). The corpse rots.
    Hit Level 16, raise athletics to 100
    Scout a little bit below before resurfacing (so maybe I get a wand of cold):
    D:21 tension room of berserker kings, marked with some single gold coins in front of the closed door
    D:23 mimic tension room. Close it and scout rest of level first. Eventually have to dig a tunnel around the mimics to find downstairs
    On the way back up:
    DH:1 blood-chilling threat (maybe a tough boss monster for once? no time to fool around though)
    Dwarftown
    Sac all the gold to get rid of cursing before the Tower. Our gold is not enough though, still spiritually invincible. Since there are additional altars further up, I decide to do it with livesacs. This costs some precious turns but works.
    Leave important stuff on D:1 stairs, bless the ring of ice and head for the tower.
    Have to wear another -Fire ring to prevent background damage, so no mental stability. Wi is very high though with water orb equipped.
    TF:2 starts with a f**ing tension room of fire demons
    Hit level 17, Dodge->100 (hopefully that'll help with ACW's energy bolts), To increases
    1 out of 3 wands of digging burns away
    wand of para burns away
    TF:4 I dig through, drink invis potion and wake ACW with wand of lightning
    I've got 5 dragon slaying quarrels
    After exchanging 2 quarrels and energy bolts each, he flees, I go after him, my invisibility ends and I have to retreat into my corridor and dispatch dozens of demons before tackling the wyrm again
    get tough scales corruption (+PV -Dx)
    Fire demons are nice and bring me my 2 dragon slaying quarrels back. Wyrm appears again, this time I lure him further down, takes 5 shots to kill him and a few !oEH

    Pick up stuff on D:1, sac rotting corpse (we have 4 SoCR from Mystic)

    D:25 undead vault: don't want to risk aging, so leave it for now

    I waste two charges because I teleport on the stairs one turn too late and another EG had spawned (didn't see it due to abysmal Perception)
    I bless our cursed potion of booze and get another 4 charges of teleport. This time I do it right and descend
    D:30 vault (undead again, so leave it for now)

    pick a 24$ slot machine and win 230000 at the cost of 1 corruption (10 extra eyes)
    The corruptions are quite nice, Perception is what we needed actually

    sac 100k gold and get crowned with fire immunity and Grod
    It's turn 44129, so there would be 850 turns left to clear earth temple, convert both air and earth altars, sac the artifacts and reach D:48. I would give it a try but real life time passed to quickly and I had to interrupt to often. So I have to stop now.

    The character was already very strong. Now with Grod and the ~of Regen he is super strong. Also has plenty of slaying ammo for all kinds of monsters. Not sure what are Grod's slaying powers, but I think it's also +Crit. Have to check the wiki. Eternium Twohander would give a bit more DV.
    I used to fight hit and run style mostly. Always Berserk & step back.

    I think we all did a great job this time. Although we didn't score, it feels like a victory. Each of us got a character down there, passed tough levels and saved them in a good position for the upcoming dragon slaying mission.
    Gordon, how about your brother joining us for the last two missions since Rawrgoblin didn't play/show up/post something again?

    Already offered it to him, but he somehow lost motivation to play in this competition. However, all of our chars are quite playable by now, so at least it won't be a pain to play the MIA guy. I also think that we did a really good job during the last mission :-)
