Default Getting A Troll to Level 50

A friend and i are going to take game winning saves to the ID for a competitive dive. I intend to compete with a troll monk because i think the time it takes to level wont hinder the character after i close the gate. Still I was wondering some about some strategies to get to level 50 faster, and was wondering if anyone has taken a troll to 50 how long did it take?
You don't have to be taught all that much; you just need to acquire more cautiousness, an almost healthy amount of sheer paranoia, and a more fine-tuned "OH SHIT RUN!" reflex. ~Silfir

some strategies to get to level 50 faster
I have been thinking about this lately, due to being crazy enough to contemplate using a troll for my first ultra, thus needing to get it to 45.

What I have been able to come up with thus far:
    - Kill as many eternal guardians as you can (until they become too powerful). Obviously this is only possible if ring has not been used and it is affordable to move alignment towards chaotic.
    - Kill all shopkeepers, especially the casino one.
    - Clear any greater undead vaults: the emperor liches give some nice xp.
    - When doing any of the above, use slow monster on self before the final hit. (Of course also against the D:50 balors if you actually play the wins as part of, or prepation to, the competition).

Picking the appropriate talent of course also helps somewhat. Wishing for the emperor moloch and killing the resulting greater molochs is also often mentioned, although have not tried this myself.
Don't really think that even doing everything of the above is likely to get a troll anywhere near level 50, even after having closed the gate. Hopefully we'll get an answer from someone who has actually levelled a troll as high, would be very interesting.

if you have wishes up your sleeve the obvious one is the emperor moloch.

just recently someone made it with a troll by scumming deep ID for tension rooms, thats probably the best way to do it these days.

    Wish for an emperor moloch.

If you're lucky enough to get a vault with 12 ancient red wyrms, that will help a tonne.

You'll have the balor xps, which will help a lot.

Nothing else will really get you close. Doing this without wishes is very hard.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

Kill eternal guardians. Zap a wand of trap creation on his level until you get an alarm trap to do this. Let 2 EG's fight each other each time, then kill them when they are almost dead..

Also important to know: there is no longer any upper bound to the xp you can gain from a single monster (the overflow bug has been fixed). If you can kill an AKW while it is invisible, you can't see invisible, you are slowed and you have just thrown a potion of boost speed at it, you could potentially gain huge amounts of xp. I haven't tried this in practice yet, but the easiest way to pull this off is probably to wish for one in the middle of the lake in the barbarian glade. He won't be able to move because he can't swim. You can't use a RoDS in water, a workaround could be to freeze the lake first and melt it when you have made the wish.

You steal a scroll labelled HITME. The orc hits you.

Wish for AKW in SMC, then petrify it, it doesn't resist petrification.
Put on the armor of sloth, boots of slow shuffle, slow monster on self and all the other nice stuff like being bloated and very strained.
With 100 stealth and the stealth talent, when AKW wished for, it doesn't become hostile instantly, so you can use extras like speed boosters and invis.
Take note that when it finally hits you, it hits hard... best is to succeed right away with petrification.
Otherwise, 100+ DV should save you. PV doesn't much matter as it hits for several hundred points of damage at this experience level.
This gives you 8 digits of exp if the AKW is generated at level 90-110.

Other than the above, I guess wishing for emperor moloch is the best thing, especially if you're also smithing. That hulking armor is bound to drop eventually and can be a true boon to smiths.

I did it by hunting the ID floors 45-50 for greater moloch threat rooms (and killed most other threat rooms as well). If you have wishes, emperor moloch wishing is the way to go.
