What's the DL of the small cave? Is it possible to use a steel man strategy for eternium? (Train a pet, keep level fairly low, build up resources including 1-2 wishes, dig out the level into nice bouncy corridors, then wish for molochs and blast them with MM for quick level 50 before creature generation can get you)

Common consensus is that the small cave's DL is the character's level multiplied by two.

Getting resources with the pet strategy is harder, since gremlins can no longer be pickpocketed, and getting RoDS via ring dipping is limited to one per game.

Wishing for the emperor moloch still gives a lot of XP if you can kill them all, but it's less than in 1.1.1, since XP received from late game monsters has been reduced to make leveling more linear. The same is true for ancient karmic wyrms.

Technically yes. Would need slow monster on yourself to have enough xp. The problem is old settel man essentially had wish engine (and demon slaying ammunition was less inclined to break).

From little I've tried... wizard has problem with keeping high level pet at control and scumming bard to get enough magic missile books (will definitely need decent efficiency, from what I did in steel man, since here character will start at even lower level), so scumming is not bearable by my standard (10x than proper caster I guess).

On my drawboard current plan is to be a Wand born mist elf necro who starts with scroll fam summon and scroll of peace. Get pet, train it a bit, force deity to curse peace scroll, switch allignment through 'o'ffer peace (need to not overtrain pet), get to lv5, create clay statue (obeys and regenerates = ideal), read scroll of peace (to stop background corruption since grind will be long, believe me but keeping RoDS chance, that is why peace scroll needs to be cursed), train statue, dispatch initial pet, get enough MM books and RoDS.

Anyone wants to share roller or just roll few adequate necros for the task?

p.s. AKW are not wish worth in such challenges anymore.
p.p.s. If book distribution has not been fixed necros are slightly screwed, since they drowned in Frost bolt last time I've tried. Still something like 5x better than bard.

Well, I can confirm that after completing Steel (achievement registers when you hit 50 in wilderness fight), you can just walk to SMC and enter it to get Eternium achievement. No need to even save the last level for the SMC.

Could also use memory editor. that would allow to save lots of time to achieve both achievements....

I rechecked my plan and simplified. Roll cup born mist elf necro with healing book, use slaves untill N status (healing monster most likely) and clay are connected. make statue, grind (SMC is no corruption zone until day 90). Doable without roller.

Well, got one to the start of grind (from looks of it statue does not need babysitting anymore - dispatched two boss monsters - Grakkus and Andra).

Knowing half of drops in SMC does not happen, I would say 10k kills (for statue) before developing any ideas about further steps.

    I overshot with alignment slightly

p.s. killed by dark sage while bookreading... well, at least I know setup is doable.

Have you guys done any testing to see if it's possible to get an achievement on Steam from a shared save file? The game doesn't track anything to know if we've traded files as far as I know. I'd be willing to test if someone wants to send me a save file of a character with Alchemy (I never got the achievement for using offensive alchemy).

Should be possible, I've unlocked quite some in non-Steam version ~r59. By the way I've seen <10k run unlocked on someone's profile... I should... well, put more effort into this grandmaster thingy. (Babe 3 is curently babysitting statue, man she has tough time at that, had to serve as meat shield for her own loyal slave... I guess status of clumps affect level of summons? will test at some point....)

I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but apples/melons are not considered plants for Plant Hater.

My monk precrowned with Vanquisher so it's up to a beastfighter to get unarmed master and magic hater, I guess. Gnome wizards keep dying around ID:20-25 for ironman.

Killing everything in the casino is apparently not robbing it. Globetrotter and Lithium seem plain bugged to me. My ultra went literally everywhere and didn't get globetrotter, and my latest lithium attempt had exactly 62 locations (50 CoC, 7 MT, 4 ToEF, 1 wilderness) - I don't see what I could have missed.

Is there some way to track how many deaths you have (for bug temple)? I assume quits don't count.

Open adom.cnt in a hex editor, read the bytes from last to first, then convert to decimal.
