    So this is a first for me i had a super promising Barb that walked into a dark room and was eaten by a grue.

    actually thats a really good question. i didnt even know at the time that i was doomed i though i might have been cursed but didnt have any way to check it with insight i think i had a book of rev but wasnt sure if at my lit which i think was maybe in the 50-60 i would have been successful. i guessing that being doomed is required in order for this to happen as i have played for almost 10 years and never been eaten

    Yea you were doomed.. Maybe your monster kill list might shed some light? I think that there are some statues that cause dooming?

    i hit a karmic on accident but i though those were a progression thing first removing fate and lucky then applying cursed then doomed so i didnt think to much into it. i killed and ate the oracle but that was prior to crowning so i know that wasnt the issue

    Shoplifting can give dooming as a lawful character or eating daemon corpses, although I assume you know that. Maybe a pool?

    I'm pretty sure pools can only doom you if you're cursed, which he apparently wasn't. Is there any way to lose cursing without losing dooming?

    Some pool effects push down the line nothing>cursed>doom and some straight doom player.

    Is there any way to lose cursing without losing dooming?
    Scrolls of luck?
