    Default Need help!!

    My gray elf wizzy is in some deep trouble.
    I was doing the second dwarf quest and descended into DH1 and yey, a diamond golem was next to the stairs. Went back up and it followed me. I need to get rid of it but i don't have a clue how to do it since i can't outrun it and it takes my health to 50% with one hit, so i'm asking your help.

    cast strength atlas on yourself [removing strained] put on black torc and run for your life!
    [checking golems speed with "L"ook is recommended too, but with 114 speed you should get seperated from him]
    So far rolled 15 casters with RoDS and shamelessly killed them within 200 turns. For eternium glory!
    (after 15 I stopped counting...)

    You will probably die. I see a couple of options:

    1. Try to take him down with your slaying ammo. This most likely will not work unless you're an archer or very good with bows.

    2. Drop some of your equip (or cast strength of atlas?) to get rid of strained-status and try to run.

    3. Zap some of your wands, hoping for teleportation.

    I believe the diamond golem sees in dark, so don't bother trying darkness. I don't know if he sees invisible.

    Throw potion of blindness and run (you can also put on black torc on same turn when you wield that potion for extra speed).

    If it takes your HP below 1/3 of max on first turn, you can try to start running away without throwing that potion because you will get 20% reduction in movement energy cost when tactics is coward and hp is below 1/3 of max hp.

    1. He's wizard.
    2. May work, especially if the golem takes your hp below 1/3 of max.
    3. None of those wands is wand of teleportation! Highlight to see why: | Wand of teleportation weights 4 stones |

    I got away, thanks!
    The strength of atlas/black torc combo was a really good, though i had to use some healing pots while casting and uncursing my glass amulet and putting the torc on but i lured the golem to the other end of the level i was in and got away.
    I tried the few construct slaying ammo i had but it got only slightly wounded so it wasn't if much use.

    You should probably be casting Strength of Atlas all the time, with 16 strength I don't think you're going to train any more at Strained status. And you can always bookcast if you want to save your castings.

    I think strength gets trained up to ~20 by keeping the character strained. So I would not use the spell yet.
