    When I got Executor from a vault on D:12 with my NEXT character, and a ring of djinni summoning in the Tomb (or was it the pre-Darkforge level?), I already suspected the RNG was planning to get back at me somehow.

    When I decided to start the road to chaoticdom in order to get training from Yergius and later access to Gaab'Baay's quests (only things missing are a wand of monster creation and the skull), I considered graverobbing to be one of the more profitable venues. I did not have a wand of digging, so I had to use a pickaxe.

    Good thing I had my wand of teleportation loaded, huh?

    Good indeed. It seems that The type of lich that rises from the grave doesn't always mean that the treasure inside is in fact, good. I once found preserver AND 7LB on a simple master lich grave.

    As far as I know, the really good stuff is in the "Great treasures are buried here" graves, which can hold either a master lich, a lich king or an emperor lich. You can get any combination, good stuff and master lich, or bad stuff and emperor lich. Me, I'll not check it out until I get a couple more levels under my belt...

    EDIT: Looks like this will be yet another hopeful ultra that lacks a wand of monster creation of all things... The one I had got destroyed. Anyway, quick estimation. Is this character enough to defeat Keriax?

    Will be tough without some more confusion resistance. Definitely throw a PoCC at him first, then paralyze and Execute him. Make sure you bless your jet-black axe.

    Not to forget I can emergency teleport by spell with 50% chance even when confused...

    You don't need -conf at all. If you do things
    carefully enough, all you need is a source
    of para.

    I'll have it for free anyway on Executor, and few better rings than that mental stability one. Keriax does shrug off para...

    EDIT: And apparently, he is not a demon.

    I am screwed.

    EDIT2: Heh. "I DON'T HAVE ACID ATTACKS ARRRGH!". Then I notice that my most recent corruption is sulfur breath. That might be crazy enough to work.

    EDIT3: "7 out of your bundle of 8 blessed arrows of dragon slaying are destroyed! Your blessed longbow of accuracy is destroyed!" Might just as well add "Also, you are a poopy head and your mother reeks of elderberries! Nah nah nah!" while you're at it, stupid asshole program...

    EDIT4: He's immune to ice too. Groovy. Also, acid spit has to get past PV. It's wand of magic missile time.

    EDIT5: Keriaxkiller, the greater fire elemental, is dead. Good one, dumbhead.

    EDIT6: Why does he keep getting afraid all the time? I never even fazed him with any of my weapons! Is it the poison/sickness/cure corruption combo? Stupid asshole hiding in a corner, and I'm out of booze and para charges...

    EDIT7: One of my remaining arrows hit him. He is critically injured now? Why?!

    EDIT8: YES! My one-charge wand of acid killed him! I sort-of-barely-but-hell RULE!!!!!!! Three levels too. Awesomeness.

    Almost anything that could go wrong did. He's immune to my several hundred castings of Frost Bolt, invulnerable to Executor... The things that worked were my two castings of lightning ball, the wands, one arrow of dragon slaying (the others missed or were destroyed) and my collection of sneaky-bastard-brand potions.

    While he did destroy three of my four (non-drunk, bleh) PoGAs, he did not destroy any of my ten SoCR and he gave me only beneficial corruptions actually. Greatness!
