As I usually cast wish from memory there its needed to get round where you could drink poeh to restore your health to max. With ring and decent pv/dv on coward you could just summon these as even three molochs rarely harm you and you finish them faster.

Conserving mp is problem for other spellcasters, not wizards as you regenerate 5pp firebolts with basically infinite number of casting ipp bar stays full by just moving around. There is opposite problem that you need to cast expensive spells (like bookcasting teleport) to train mana.

It may not be a risky thing for you and I to wish for the emperor moloch, but I feel that a newer player who hasn't encountered many would be taking quite a risk summoning greater molochs. And actually an unarmed necromancer regens pp faster than a wizard

I think wishing for the emperor moloch is much more likely to kill me than help me close the gate. I'm not in any particular rush to gain levels.

It would be nice to get to 48 willpower for the increased ball radius. With the water orb I'm at 42, so can't quite get there with Nonnak. Could wear an amulet of perseverance, but I just found Aylas Holy Scarf in the vault below the casino which I'd like to keep on.

I'm going to keep hold of the wish until I find a good use for it / run out of acid ball castings.

Wishing for potions of willpower is not a bad choice. If you saved Khelly and aim for a normal ending, you already have plenty of chaos removal.. Willpower 48 is nice to have.
You steal a scroll labelled HITME. The orc hits you.

My top post-tower wishes are basically:
    Concentration
    Find weakness
    Spellbooks of acid ball.

Find weakness is like semi-slaying for all melee and missile attacks. Concentration lets almost any character cast spells. Spellbooks of acid ball is obvious.

Concentration is far more important for reading books than literacy - I've currently got a level 35 dwarvern fighter with concentration, able to read blessed spellbooks of revelation, teleport, acid ball etc on a first try ~70% of the time.
    My orc thief just died.
