    Default Necro versus Andor

    Hey Guys,

I've got a 32 lev DE necromancer and I'm on my way for ultimate CG ending.

I'm trying to think of a good strategy for that last fight. I was lucky to get the Far Slayer, so I'm gonna train crossbows + get some daemon slaying ammo to soften him up a bit.
Other thing that I thought of is: I didn't kill the quickling king nor queen yet, so maybe I'll kill them just before the last dive. Get the corpses, then cook 'em, bless 'em, take them down and just after I cross the gate, raise them.

Will it work? Did anyone ever try necromancy at the Chaos level?

The reason why I want to do it is that my character is not a tank (To = 29, Dx = 27 and so on) and I don't have any wands of wishing/RoDS yet (and I cleared most of the game) so I'm not gonna be able to buff my speed as much as is recommended.
    Any thoughts?

    cheers

I never needed a high speed for beating andy to be honest. What I usually do is:
First of all, and the most important thing, I throw a PoCC at him. Then I zap him a lot of times with a wand of poison. And then just shoot/hit him to death. Disabling him helps a lot, so if you can get some potions of blindness/cursed potions of invisibility, it would be very nice. A wand of paralyzation works too, although he shrughs it a lot.

For most characters, I find you can just club him to death with the TotRR after throwing a potion of cure corruption at him. As long as you have a PV of maybe 40 or a DV of 80, he won't be able to hurt you. Slaying ammo is always good, although I find I rarely have enough to make a sizable dent in him unless I'm playing a very missile-friendly class.

I've never tried necromancy in the Chaos plane, so I can't say whether or not it would work.

For a chaotic ending, corruption control is more of an issue. You need to kill him reasonably fast if you don't have a ton of corruption removal stuff ready.
Any time a player finds Executor and fails to use it, the RNG kills a cute dog.

Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

    thanks for the replies

What does a PoCC do to him? Weaken him, injure him? Do more than one PoCC help more?

I would still be very interested to see if necromancy works on ChAoS plane. Also, scroll of familiar summoning should be funny (danger level should be pretty high there).

and yeah, I worry about the corruption. I don't have that many SoCR stashed ( perhaps 4) and I'll should have around 2 PoCC with me. I hope I'll find more.
