First win with a weaponsmith. Named him Smithy III. The first two... were unable to finish. Weaponsmiths are easier than I thought they'd be. Once you find a forge (Dwarftown) you can just go nuts. Lure Glod to another level (or kill him) and use the forge all day. I had teleportitis for nearly the entire game (pixie on the way to HMV). Nothing terribly remarkable happened, but I did nearly die to the Archmage. I had no confusion resistance and had very very close calls. Put locked doors up with a mob trapped inside on top of the levers on D50 after killing most of the balars just to hurry it along. Oh, and I used a stone weapon for most of the game.
