    Default *spoiler* spellbook of wish

I have a lvl 16 gray elf wizard with fate smiles attribute and he just found a spellbook of wish on lvl 1 of infinite dungeon. It was found in a corner of an empty room by downstairs case to lvl 2.

Ummm...neat? Interesting find, even though it will most likely be useless to you. I would have rather been rewarded with any offensive damage spell or defensive buff spell.

EDIT: And how is this a spoiler? That confuses me...

Yeah... it is quite hard to find the spoily part of this...lol

Rare book and quite ironic to be found on ID: 1. But it is useless indeed. During the course of the game you are likely to get a wish from a pool or perhabs finding one or more RoDS. Casting wish is extremely hard and requires quite a lot of preparations, I would only use it as an absolutely last resort. And then...with a wizard you have a guaranteed spellbook of wish at the library so to find one randomly is curious, but of no pratical use. =P

The spell isn't listed in the manual, so it does qualify as a sort of secret. Not that this forum tends to care.
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

Some unlucky characters can start with wish spellbooks. Completely useless since they can't even read the thing for a long time, and will probably never cast it.
Any time a player finds Executor and fails to use it, the RNG kills a cute dog.

Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

It gives really nice boost in learning. Once when I found a spellbook of wish with low level wizard (< 10) and read it my learning did raise from by 3 withing next few thousand turns (from 25 to 28 IIRC).

Interesting. Didn't know that it wasn't in the manual. On the topic of spoilers, I think it's just that different people have different definitions of spoilers (I generally try to avoid anything but general hints, but you never know what slips out). All I know is I've been to forums where entire threads are long series of spoilers with quoted spoilers of others, and it is annoying opening/highlighting everything
