    Default Stupid death in pyramids

A promising hurthling had to go early to pyramids (they exp faaast) w/o wand of fireballs.
So I struggled a bit but it was going ok , I had to burn the wands and had and more or less Rehetep and some mummies remaining.
Rehetep goes frenzy and crit -> disease -> hit me and rip.

The really stupid was I forgot to swap to my undead slaying ammo that I blessed on the level below ...
I still havent been successful with a hurthling

I hardly ever get the wand for clearing the pyramid.

I think hurtlings have two main advantages. They get a bunch of piety sacrificing cooked food at altars, meaning an easy pre-crowning, and they should always have two full heals in the bank. The second is how fast they level slings/thrown rocks coupled with the fact they start with archery; no matter what class you play a hurtling can always be decent on range attacks. On PC 2 let the ants do a bit of digging and you have enough ammo to gain high level range attacks early on in the game.

Really the pyramid is as easy as a few invis. pots, and a bag full of rocks.

On occation you get some nasty stuff in there.
Also rocks weigh more than arrows/quarrels and that is not so handy when you get those sub 10 strength hurthlings.
But yes I could have handled that a lot smoother.

" I could have handled that a lot smoother."

I tell myself that after every death. My last hurtling died of poison from fighting melee with a snake (low level toon). Afterwards I was like I have long stride and a 122 speed, why the heck didn't I run and range attack the snake down.
