Greater Vaults

I had an incling greater vaults were toned down a bit.
Haven't seen any great red vaults with more than one wyrm.

Not so sure after I saw this one:

Maybe they're just more rare now.

Yes, that is 22 lich kings and 10 emperor liches.
Hidden entrances to east and west, I prefer the layout with southern entrance.

I hope I have enough slaying ammo for this one.

I managed to grind it out, did some other stuff before that picture.
I was lucky and didnt get any really bad stuff, gorgons was a bit concerning since I didn't have any petri resist.

Drops were ... well scorched spear and wyrmlance

An eternium platemail of life and intrinsic see invis from invisible stalker corpse was kind of cool.

One potion of exchange all game, no rods, no aols, odds for Khelavaster isn't too good.

Edit: with 2 blessed mental stability rings and protector I didn't get confused once.

This one is interesting if you have a nice pet from a scroll of familiar summoning and let it go berserk on the liches.
That way at least you should be more or less safe from drains.
When you read the scroll in DH, you can get some really tough stuff, which is immune to death rays.
Plus, even emp liches don't hit that hard in melee.
It's the insta-full-heal that makes them annoying and summons that make them dangerous.

Yeah late it was easily better than the robes of resistance I found in d46 GUV.
Not to mention it's smithable and boosted by scrolls of defence.
I managed to pass 1k hps despite checking out at lvl 42 or 43.
