Good to know, re 99 learning. 1/3 of the way there.

On the positive side, I managed to Wand of Wonder an Ice Ball, and find a book for it too. Make the Ring of the High King a bit easier to get to.

Plus, managed to clear out the Frost Caverns too, so things are looking fancy.

Grindy down to L50. In the process of killing Balors with my might staff. My current goal is to get Grandmaster level staves, for the +40 DV.
Unless I do something stupid, the win is in the bag. With wishes to spare for a little doggy on the way out.

Even managed to grind up to 100 Alchemy, for the PoGAs!

For 1 and 5, I have now Dwayne the mist elven mindcrafter. Can't packrat too much, with the base strength so low.
Now at 23rd level, and looking good except that dwarftown hates me. Dumb kid got in the way of my clean shot at the daemon.

Any hints at a normal win for a mindcrafter?

Yeah, confuse things and beat them up in melee. Get the axe of the minotaur emperor. Eyes of the mind is great, use it all the time. And don´t be afraid to confuse the Orb Guardians. The corruption you get from contacting their mind is minor, not nearly as bad as being hit by them.

Some trivia:
ACW and Nuurag have been made immune to confusion. Yulgash doesn't have a corrupting melee attack, so you don't actually get corrupted by using mindcraft on him. Removing a monster's corrupting melee attack with a thrown PoCC will also make it completely safe to use mindcraft on it.
