    Default Flames away!

    It starts...

    > Team gut has: Gray Elf, Gray Elf, High Elf, Gnome, Hurthling

My affinity for gray elves has come back to haunt me. I have made
a mistake in stating my opinion that healing rate + intrinsic toughness
are the most important PC virtues in this challege, so it's natural
that the RSG (Random Silfir Generator) throws us only races known for
the exact opposite. You expect me to believe that wasn't a C act?
Please. Despite the actions of the vile Team Silfir captain, we will take
this pitiful team and win with it!

Indeed, even my natural tendancy toward purely lawful actions (in life
as in ADOM) seems also to have had an impact on the dice rolls. We
have not a single chaotic race on our team, and this is the only team that
can brag of that! Team gut has 3 N's and 2 L's, with NO C's at all. I think
that really says something about all Team gut participants. Team Silfiir
(in second place already) has 1 C, 1 N, and 3 L's, so maybe they tend to
lean in the right direction, but as anyone can see from the 'RANDOM'
race generation, they have some chaos in them as well. Team JellySlayer
is in third place with N's, 2 C's, and no L's at all! What have you been
up to JellySlayer? Team Grey, in a feat that surprises no one, trails
    considerably with 3(!) C's, 1 N, and 1 L. For shame.

Team gut is destined for glory! Join us.

Destined for glory...really, with what a bunch of squishy elves and midgets??? I'm waiting for team gut to drop out first. My prediction is survivors after the first mission is 2 survivors and 3 dead!
To this day I have not once scummed in ADOM.
Probably why I dont have a win.

Our strategies will be so advanced that they will
nearly guarantee victory for all of our PC's. You
know elves can start with +5 PV chain mail, right?

Complete domination is just around the corner...
well, maybe a bit further than that, seeing as how
Grey hasn't even opened his team thread yet.
    Prolly scared I guess.

I wouldnt be surprised if Grey went the Peasant route for his team, flooding the dungeons with merchants and farmers to hopefully con the denizens out of their money for absurd prices on mediocre herbs and plant seeds.

I notice that team Silfir has decided to cowardly
hide their strategies from the rest of the forum. I
suppose they will say that their strategies are so
good that they must be hidden. I strongly suspect
that it's actually quite the opposite : ) They are
indeed afraid to post their thoughts publicly for
the sole reason that they are (rightfully) ashamed
of them. We all know that the very moment Silfir
would post his pathetic strategies, they would be
nothing more than an object of ridicule for the rest
of the forum. Happy PM'ing, SUCKERS.

We, on team gut, have a superior phillosophy. We
post openly and honestly, for the benefit of our own
team and others. That's just how noble we are. It's
more fun for all as well of course. I suppose the
secretive cretins on team Silfir think that the (as of
this flaming) 271 views of their thread are all from
competitors or their own team members. This only
goes to demonstrate their mental inferiority and lack
of ability to think rationally. Most views of ANY thread
are from unregistered users, as they outnumber us
regulars by a fair margin. Let me give an example.
This is the ratio from the starting page of these forums
as of the time of this post:
Currently Active Users: 19 (4 members and 15 guests)

I know, I know. It baffles me as well. WHY any sane
being would WANT to read such inferior strategies, as
would be found in Silfir's team thread, is beyond me!
I know that they do though, so I say "SHAME ON
YOU SILFIR!" I'm not saying that we should be
exhibitionists (note though, that I'm not saying that we
shouldn't be either ; )), but we SHOULD take into
consideration that many readers are interested in our
strategies, and it increases their enjoyment of following
these challenges if they actually have SOMETHING
    TO FOLLOW.

I hereby call upon all teams less wretched than Silfir's
to liberate yourselves from your naturally cowardly
inclinations! Crawl out from under your rocks and join
team gut in the sunshine! Let us be your leaders in this.
You won't regret it. Don't allow your natural inferiority
to team gut scare you into the shadows, as it did
Silfir's team. Honestly, you are all just competing for
second place anyway, as team gut already has the
first spot locked. Wouldn't it be better to lose with
honor, as opposed to how Silfir's team is going to
lose? Or of course you could always do what Grey
has done, and just not show at all : )

Unless you can block people from reading threads, no idea if thats possible on this forum. If thats the case, we gots trickses up our sleeves! Pheer the human thieves and high elf barbarians!!!

I think the fact that gut was too dumb to remember the races his team received speaks for itself.

Or maybe he was in denial? Figures that team gut would be incapable of surviving three seconds with any race but troll. But, dear gut's team members, your fears are unfounded: Your defeat was not decided when you received your race choices.

It was decided when you foolishly endeavoured to join a team led by gut!

Luckily for others, they noticed something was up right away:

It's called "excuse". Look it up. They just don't want to hurt your feelings.

ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

Just to note: Our team does not need such propagandish speeches to have people join us.
They know without saying that our team is superior!

You're just worried you'll look silly when you all die in the first round. I'm really looking forward to seeing this happen to gut...
