Messages in R81 are not working properly.

It is enough to make me go back to the previous version.

The message is one step behind. Step on an item? No message. Step on another item? Get the message about the last item.

Kill a monster? No death message. Take one more turn. Death message finally appears.

I cant seem to adjust the font size or make for lines appear for more text to show.
