    Default What's your scariest artifact guardian?

    This is Yaffnar, the female doppleganger king. She is hostile. She looks extremely experienced. [M]ore

    Without invisibility abuse I would be very dead right now. Dungeon level 35, was guarding Protector.

    Does anyone else have stories of particularly scary artifact guardians?

    Scary? Only for a short time.

I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help!     I had a named ice vortex not long ago. I had 90 HPs so I thought I could tank it. I was wrong. I had been playing an assassin, and it turns out he was guarding serpent's bite. Doh!

    Just ran into a named Dark Elven Wizard in the SMC. Nasty surprise for my level 2 necromancer.
    Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

    There is no enemy in the game of ADOM that I hate quite as much as the Dark Elven Wizard.
    They usually spell certain death for level 2 necromancers.
    Suddenly a stream of acid pours down from the ceiling! The cute dog is horribly mutilated by the acidic fluids! The cute dog dies!

    A lot of things spell certain death for level 2 necromancers, when you think about it...
