Damn, my lev 19 formerly chaotic necro will be heading to the Tower now. No blankets, ice rings or higher level fire resistance. So I think I'll take the minimum equipment approach. But what I have is Magic Map, Teleportation, Invisibility and Cure Serios Wounds. And plenty of dragon slaying quarrels & arrows if he shrugs the Frost Bolt. Could be a problem with enough power points, though. Also, I definitely could use Magic Shovel, since the pickaxes and wands of digging might not survive until I get to the cave...
edit: after ID'ing my stuff it turns out I do have two blessed fireproof blankets, and the bracers of war to regain health. This won't be so bad after all
