Yeah, it seems that I've read all those and only skipped #53 for some reason!
Hint: use Ctrl+F with different keywords on the first page ;)

What about ways to die that are possible in older versions? Do they count?

Also, does the arena master's stunning punishment cause damage?
You hit Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, and severely wound him.
The greater balor summons some help!
The ratling duelist disarms you. You drop your blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12]. It flies to the west.
Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, picks up the blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12].
Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, wields the blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12].

which reminds me, doesnt being frozen by an ogre mangus give a unique death, at least in the area fight 20?

I don't know if it has it's own unique message, but angering the cute dog can generate a funny message when you die.

"The Cute Dog targets a critical area. You die." iirc

Anyone been killed by the cute dog recently?

Also can you be blasted to death by the water dragon?

Not that I know of. I have "frozen by spells/breath" at number 31, but if there's any separation between them I'll gladly update it.

That's just it's critical message, whether it kills you or not. There's no unique death from the cute dog to my knowledge. Oh, and water breath attack is already in at 30.

I'm wondering if there's any other food corpses you can take damage from... None come to mind though.

actually, any of the arena deaths will get you a unique message..... i think it is of the form:

"killed in the arena by <monster name>."

and getting killed by Li-Han-Kay when he uses the frost bolt on you yeilds:

"frozen to death by Li-Han-Kay, the ogre magus"

I am not sure if getting killed by a thrown rock yeilds a unique message yet

Just checked the guidebook, no corpses seem to deal damage upon eating.

Damn, just 5 more away from a nice, round 100 (-:

There's nothing unique about that - it happens with all the named monsters. The frozen to death message is the same as for all ogre magi freezings, just happens to be by a named NPC. Same goes for Keriax, Fisty and the rest.

Kicking a statue, while having PV less than 4
causes damage. The death message is "terminally
broke his/her leg while kicking a statue"
    How embarassing : )

Drinking a regular potion of poison inflicts
damage, yielding the death message "was killed
    by drinking a poisoned cocktail".
For the adventurer who 'just couldn't take it
    anymore'.

I will look through other old highscore tables
later, maybe I'll find some more.

Cheers for those, gut. Also added one more - you can get poisoned or even killed by swarms of tiny spiders when struggling in webs.
