    Default Ways to Kill

    In compliment to the Ways to Die thread, let's have a little thought on the other fun aspect of ADOM - ways to kill or dispose of enemies. I'm a little more vague on my thoughts here of what ones count as individual... Some ideas that come to mind:

    1. Attack in melee.
    2. Hit with missiles.
    3. Hurt with damage-dealing spells.
    4. Zap an offensive wand.
    5. Death ray spell.
    6. Petrification spell.
    7. Wand of death.
    8. Wand of destruction.
    9. Throwing gold coins (merchants).
    10. Order a pet to kill the enemy.
    11. Lure onto an existing trap.
    12. Create a trap.
    13. Set off a fireball trap.
    14. Lure onto an alarm trap to get others to kill it.
    15. Lure it to a friendly NPC to kill.
    16. Create an ice bridge, get the enemy on the ice, zap a fire spell and watch it drown.
    17. Same, but with chaos pirahnas.
    18. Bring into the water dragon's cave.
    19. Bring into the top level of the ToEF.
    20. Poison.
    21. Bleed it to death.
    22. Use a potion of exchange to turn it into something else.
    23. Get the enemy into the path of another enemy's breath weapon.
    24. Acid spit!
    25. Extra damage from ego weapon (lightning strokes and such).

    Editted to include:

    26. Sacrifice.
    27. Mindcraft - mental damage.
    28. Mindcraft - physical damage.
    29. Shadow Touch (necromancer class power).
    30. Instakill (assassin class power).
    31. Instakill humanoids (monk class power).
    32. Turning into a writhing mass of primal chaos.
    33. Fireball from fire orb.
    34. Putting fire orb into fire anomaly.
    35. Earthquake (from spell, wand or orb).
    36. Wail of banshee.
    37. Pouring holy water on Griff's grave.
    38. Luring or commanding into vortex.
    39. Setting off a vortex (to kill it itself).
    40. Let a bee kamikaze you.
    41. Wait for the puppy to die.
    42. Light on gremlins (from wand, spell, crystal or phial).
    43. Elemental storm (elementalist class power).
    44. Botched alchemy.
    45. Crystals of fire.
    46. Get them to berserk themselves to death.
    47. Healing spells on undead.
    48. Bless spells on undead.
    49. Backstabbing (special death message).
    50. Executor (special death message).
    51. Vanquisher (special death message).
    52. Skullcrusher (special death message).
    53. Giving poisoned food to NPCs.
    54. Chatting with Khelavaster instead of giving him a AoLS.


    There must be many more... Think up your own and I'll update the list to include them.

    God damn, can't believe I forgot such basics... I've separated mindcraft into two types, since for instance you can't kills bugs with the mental damage effects.

    - Hmm, what about shadow touch? (or is it considered an attack in melee?) i've never made a necromancer that far.

    - Killing undead with healing spells? or bless?

    - Maybe transforming monsters into writhing masses of primal chaos with potions of raw chaos? don't know if that's possible, though.

    - Using chaos orb of elemental fire/earth to kill.

    - Using the wail of banshee to kill.

    - Pouring holy water on the grave of griff bloodax? (meh).

    - Killing your pet by ordering him to attack a vortex.

    - To allow the enemy to strike you. (bee, vortex)
    - Simply wait four days =) (cute dog)

    23. Get the enemy into the path of another enemy's breath weapon.
    It's my favourite way to kill cats. )

    Shouldn't 'wand of death' be included in the 'offensive wand'
    catagory?

    Would the 'light' spell be included in the 'damage dealing
    spells' catagory? On the one hand, it isn't a damage dealing
    spell, and on the other hand, it does deal damage : )

    Would an elementalists class power of 'elemental storm' count as
    a damage dealing spell. I think it might, because it is a spell, but
    then again it's really a class power... Now my head hurts.

    Offensive alchemy.

    gems...

    setting off door traps (at least 4 of them can kill)

    and does causeing them to go into a berserk rage and kill themselves count too?

    and since you somehow put exchange in there what about all the corruption stuff (traps, potion, etc)

    and what happens when gremlins set off a light trap?

    and along the lines of gut, is earthquake offensive?

    I'm distinguishing between a direct damage dealing attack and an instant kill attack. Yeah, I know, it's a bit vague...

    You also get a special death message for skullcrusher (splatter).
