    bet it could play 'go'.

Yay! I just found my oldest and most beloved 'go' game!
    I'm sooo happy
Would be a lot more happy if it would run on win7
In dosbox it takes forever to make a move, and that is
really depressing, as I have a dual core 2GHZ CPU. It
used to run like a streak of lightning on a 300 MHZ.

Maybe I can fiddle with the settings. Still, yay.

Delightful! I just had to change the playing level from 20 to 3.
Can't seem to win for the life of me though, and I used to be good

"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."

So where can I go or what can I do to get my Telnet gaming fix now?

Nethack is a fluffy, cornball, piece of turd and my touchscreen keyboard can't handle the typing speed needed for any of those MUDD games.

I recommend the dungeon crawl server. As a 32-time ADOM winner who enjoys Crawl very much and didn't ever manage to keep playing enough Nethack to find the downstairs, I have a hunch that you might enjoy it too.

Aaah, many faces. I'm a big fan of this game. If you like, you could challenge me any time. I have accounts on two "correspondence go" servers:

    http://www.online-go.com/
    http://www.dragongoserver.net/

And also on a real-time server:

    http://www.gokgs.com/

If you're interested, just let me know.
You steal a scroll labelled HITME. The orc hits you.

Crawl is loads of fun, but is it just me or is it hugely unbalanced?

My experience with Crawl is that either I die in the first 5-6 dungeon levels, or I clear a lot of dungeon branches and reach what could be considered the "endgame", there is no middle ground. A bit like in ADOM but much more exaggerated (or at least in ADOM the early game where one regularly dies is longer). In Crawl I think I have a lot of characters with less than 500 points in my HoF and the worst character that went beyond 500 has 50K points.

I love being a hill orc priest and getting lots of devoted followers. The companion system works better in Crawl than in ADOM even though it still has its problems (companions + autotravel = fail, apparently). I also love the deity system in general.

I also like go, and I have played on KGS occasionally, maybe we could play sometime.

Same thoughts about Crawl, though in my opinion the religion system is really, really, really hell of a fun.
About nethack : once you start playing an extinctionnist priest or try the Die to win metastrategy, or farm death for infinite points, you know you need to warp to adom.
Haven't won with : Druid, Priest, Elementalist, Weaponsmith, Ranger, Merchants, farmers, Necromancer,Thief
Currently trying : Entertaining girlfriend. Very, Very, VERY hard.

    Just a silly online game

Could someone please explain to me how to create my own SSH server here at home for ADOM?

I have a wireless router working just fine and my handheld device already has Open SSH installed.

I believe my Windows XP machine's IP adsress is 192.168.1.64

I have nothing expect VNC Viewer installed.

I sure hope this is something easy to do.

jaakkos has some modified ADOM code that allows it to be accessed in a server mode. You would have to talk to him about getting it. I don't want to give you any false illusions of how difficult or easy it would be. From looking at what you have listed, you have a lot to set up to make it work.
I said it before, and I'll say it again. If I knew scripture like you, I'd prolly be an athiest too.. -gut
