Stupid dwarven quests.... where can I find a shadow troll???

The pyramid is no more, and I am not so keen on already entering the tomb of the high kings...

If that char would not be so well going, I'd say, screw dwarven quest...

In my experience, they will just randomly show up somewhere. I don't think there is a specific place to find them...just make sure the danger level is high enough. I'd go below the dwarven town myself.

I've played around with the spell in the past. From my experience, it has a chance of making a wall or something fall down. Have I actually seen it do that? Not personally...no. It just makes the level shake or something and that's all I've seen it do. ehehehe

The ID is a good place to look for particular monsters. If you're about to do the graveyard, then it isn't even much of a detour.

Earthquake is a pretty useless spell. It knocks a bunch of walls down and creates a lot of rocks on the level. Some creatures (including yourself) might get hit by the rocks and get hurt. It doesn't work on certain levels (including all ID levels). And the extra rocks created? They can cause the game to crash if monsters start picking them up.

Can you use it like a wand of destruction to destroy the levers?

I tried to cast it a lot, but nothing happened at all. Probably one of those levels (the one with Kelly). Btw, that's my absolutely first time that I managed to save him . Excellent, now I have 7 SoCR in Stock, and a great teleporation corruption. If the blanket doesn't burn up, she can beat the ACW and then jump down the riiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.... FT!

Definitely one of my best looking chars... (appearance 37, waldenbrook likes me so much that he finances all my climbing lessons...)

My understanding of the original intent of Earthquake is to deal random spots of damage everywhere on the level, from knocking walls over. In theory, this is useful to slay large numbers of monsters at once, but the damage seems to be inconsistent, and not worth the pp cost at all.

Not only that, Earthquake is dangerous as it doesn't discriminate between non-hostiles and hostiles (it even can hit you), and most of all, will kill cats.

I have never tried to use Earthquake on D:50, but i'm certain that if it could be used, it would not act as a wand of destruction.
