Some time ago, I created a list of all monsters that are never randomly generated on normal levels. I'll post it here in case you find it useful. Most of these shouldn't be a problem, because all you need to do is go to the appropriate level.

I wouldn't recommend the 0xp bard route. It's a huge effort to stick to. Besides, it's actually preferable to have everything in your own kill list, rather than saying a pet did it. A real trophy list, y'know? Bards are still a decent class choice for the challenge though, and if you're after 3 talents then gnomes are a good one to go for (plus they have that nice raccoon pet).

I think plutonium man is the name of the challenge of "kill 1 of everything". I've done some reading on it before... Some considerations that I vaguely remember:

-Kill either old crone or Andor Drakon
-Healer quest is better because it opens up 2 uniques (carpenter and healer vs black druid)
-kill either mad carpenter or healthy carpenter
-kill either dying sage or ancient sage (better to rescue him since you'll be after the emperor moloch anyway)
-puppy and Kranach can be wished for, since getting both is hard without pets
    -kill the dwarven mystic
-kill the demented ratling after beefing him up with 6 artifacts (he can get quite tough)
-shopkeepers must be attacked without killing them on the first hit, so that you'll get their summons too - this might mean enduring cursing/dooming
-don't kill the village druid till you're past level 30, and don't go into the white unicorns glade when chaotic
-kitty lord must be killed; would be funny to do this without killing any cats beforehand
-have to do the damned Minotaur Maze
-eternium golem must be wished for, unless you're lucky enough to find a golem vault deep in the CoC
-djinni can only be found through using a cursed or uncursed RoDS
-rares like ki-rins will likely need a touch of wish scumming - either ring-dipping, or abusing the usual places like BDC and graves etc

Anyway, it's a fun enough challenge, though the wish scumming can get tedious. Best of luck - I look forward to hearing of your progress.

One big obstacle will be things that require you to be a certain experience level, like the pyramid and the minotaur maze. Even the dwarftown quests will be unavailable until you've made some significant kill.

Well, dwarven quests luckily do not involve any uniques. As that could lead to delicate situation. You need to be lv5 (or something like that) to get dwarven quests besides Griff. And he can very likely ask for someone in kill list.
Could lead to lot off trap disarming. As i said luckily these can be skipped.

Yeah, you'll definitely want detect and disarm traps. I'd maybe recommend scumming for a bard that has herbalism and at least one of the skills. The doortrap thing is annoying since monsters themselves can set them off.

Starsign in general is not so important - candle in general is nice to have though. Gnomes may not be as tough as hurthlings, but their pet is far handier and they have a higher chance of the Ma 18 talent. Slow monster can help with gaining levels if you're having trouble, which is one reason why you might want to scum for Concentration too.

Dwarven quests you might want to avoid in general. Arena will likely involve teleporting monsters out for your pet to deal with. Animated forest will be tricky to deal with (invis and two-shields would help though). First kill quest may simply be downright impossible. Ogre cave is the worst though - pets don't work down there in my experience, and luring them up will eventually make dwarftown hostile. A powerful enough pet might do the trick though, and one with a breath attack (lightning lizard or greater dragon turtle) will definitely work.

If you need exp. points early, it might be worth it to pursue a wish
and use it for an AKW. Be sure to slow yourself, be invis, and have
a means of magic missile (wands are OK if you have the booze).
A spellbook of slow monster will be very valuable in this challenge : )

I would be willing to make a demo of taming killer bugs with a o exp.
    points bard, if you like.
"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."
