Read it finally. Few things, although maybe some are generic:

    1. What is exact radius of waves [definitely not same as ball spells]? I never managed to figure out that and this is why i consider them being dangerous. I managed hit shopkeeper twice i guess.

2.Doesn't early mindcraft powers decrease in cost as you level up? If so you should say that.

3.Weapon choice - "Purifier" is made for mindcrafters - affects undead, constructs. Most of these are quite a problem. Unluckily there is no guaranteed way to obtain it.

    4. Some opinion about months
Tree is not so much of deal especially if you have an altar.

Wolf - probably depends on playstyle but mid to late game i usually consider extra nutrition being a problem. Less corpses into body longer bloated time after stoma. Just my personal opinion.

Book - it was considered that this sign actually decreases negative effects of bookreading. IMO, blessed spellbook and this starsign with some learning training and you can try luck with mindcrafter.

Unicorn - it's use was always doubted. From what i've heard it is 10% rounded down. Which means unless you get 10 corruption point you get no discount. Unluckily i have no idea how much mindcraft corrupts [i run mini test seemed being very random but mostly going bellow ten].

    5. I hope I missed paragraph but was it writen about tp control? Mindcrafters came with installed one and that one is unloosable in pools or other endeavors.

    6. By goodness you can just kill Jharod get you healing [usually at 60] and avoid going deeper in VD. VD7 is actually dangerous place even without carpenter.

    Nice guide overall.

Some notes on ability costs I made myself a long time back:

    Confusion Blast
    L1 - 8 PP, L3 - 7, L6 - 6, L9 - 5, L12 - 4, L15 - 3

    Confusion Wave
    L3 - 24, L15 - 20, L30 - 15, L48 - 9

    Mind Blast
    L6 - 18, L15 - 15, L30 - 10, L45 - 5

    Mental Shield
    L9 5/turn, L20 2/turn

    Mind Wave
    L13 - 47, L30 - 30, L45 - 15

    Telekinetic Blast
    L15 - 30, L21 - 18

    Eyes of the Mind
    L18 - 6, L27 - 3

    Greater Mental Blast
    L25 - 27, L48 - 19

    Greater Telekinetic Blast
    L30 - 60, L48 - 25

    Regeneration
    L35 - 5/turn, L40 - 3/turn, L50 - 3/turn

    Teleport Self
    35 (always)

    Teleport Other
    35 (always)

    Greater Mental Wave
    50

Notably neither PP cost nor effectivity are in any way affected by usage of mindcraft, unlike spells, making them even better for something to compliment melee. The main factor by far is character level. Willpower is also important for the powers with "mental/mind" in their name, but otherwise is fairly minor.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I'll start incorporating some of the things you have suggested.
I suppose a mindcrafter could drink some potions of wonder and see if he finds a book of that spell to book cast it, but I still think reading a spellbook is too risky.

How can carefully trying to read a spell book be risky?

You have it ID'd as light/darkness, you have about 200 HP, Oracle/Gem boosted Le, you equip only artifacts, leave everything else apart from a small amount of food on CoC1, you pop into the Wilderness, and try to read your book.

Oh no. I might get stunned for a few turns, and knock my head on these trees, oh, what am I to do, my spellbook has exploded and taken 20 HP from me. Waaa.

Failure to read a spellbook can also drain 1 To.

Or create a pit under you.
