Yellow isn't my favorite colour.
Human monk lvl 16.
I opened a door somewhere on lvl 16 of the dwarven dungeon. I can't remember the message "You sense a certain tension" but behind that door were a large group of yellow "l". Oh dear, I couldn't get out of the way because it was a hallway and in the next moment I saw some yellow lines ....
160 HP gone within seconds ...
"Lightning-toasted" monk !
I found out I had a resistance nearly against every element but not against electricity.

Ouch. 
You should probably have teleported away at the first opportunity. Doing the Dwarven Graveyard early for the elemental gauntlets might be prudent. But this just exceptionally bad luck. Don't feel bad.

I had a wand but with (0) charges. I had nothing to reload.

You could still have tried, but I'll readily admit the chances were pretty slim if the wand indeed had no charges left.
