challenge games

My high elven wizard just died at lvl 34 with 4/5 chaos orbs, a raid in the library and a ring of djinni summoning, etc because he accidentally kicked a stairway...

im looking for some challenge games, but i dont really know too many...and the ones i do know i dont know all the rules to. any ideas? I may keep this as a progress thread.

EDIT: i think im gonna try for brimstone man. im gonna need some SERIOUS help though, i have no idea even how to get the necessary fire resistances needed. =[

brimstone man has better chances of being completed with elementalists that get -fire at lvl 6 and have good amount of frost bolt castings. All the rest is up to you man, just hope the first level isn't filled with demons and grues and you can get some safe leveling there. Food preservation is nice to have, you would want that for increased chances of fire resistant corpses.

Trolls might be another very nice option for this challenge. Candle born troll would very much help to offset the fire damage in the tower.

is there any way to completely get around the fire damage? even with two sources of fire resistance and the class power, i still take damage =[

IIRC, the class power doesn't protect against background heat. When I tried this challenge some time ago, my strategy was to get two rings of fire resistance and the immune to pain talent.

The elementalist class power is indeed buged and doesn't work.

Candle born elementalists taking the Heir gift ought to live long enough to get a first kill at least 3 times out of 10. I like gnomes.

For any PC, staying alive is basically reliant on fast leveling.

hmmm thanks for the heir tip, this makes for many more starts...i got to about level 11 with one character, but i didnt find very good treasure.

How can kicking a stairway kill you?

easy, you can bring the whole dungeon crashing down upon you. I've done it before.
