How many people here like to burn before playing adom? i honestly think it makes me better at adom because the paranoia makes me take things slower and run from enemies sooner.

Hum. weed smoking is illegal where i am. if it is where you are, and if you are in america, i'll consider abandonning your home right now due to the federals supervising everything.

i do that sometimes... recently i've been doing it a lot due to having too much free time =P
It was only when high that i managed to get a hurthling assassin past lvl 10 after 20 or so attempts while sober =P. It's good fun.

Lvl 50 Gnomish Assassin (Failed ultra turned normal gate closer)

I don't smoke weed, but I do know that I can't play ADOM when drunk. Even when I'm just very mildly drunk (able to even do intellectual work quite fine), I totally suck at ADOM (in b4 "you also suck sober"). It's curious, because for example at darts I get better after a couple of shots (not when completely drunk, of course).

i am the same, and i think its because when i get drunk i become over confident and aggressive, which is totally bad for adom, but when it comes to darts and bowling the aggression (and maybe the over confidence) seem to help me throw something where i aim it. haha

If you read my Let's Play walkthroughs, you will notice several times when I am starting a character or just reloading a save file, I mention the consumption of marijuana before the activity.

I do hate weed. Don't get me wrong, rope making is fine,
it's just when people decide to set fire to it and inhale the
resulting toxic fumes that I cringe. It's kinda like watching
people sniff glue.
"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."

i too thought that a long time ago...=P. Being high is....being high. The external appearances are very decieveing. But o do understand your point... sober even I find it pitiful to watch.
