Has anyone successfully run any version of ADOM in cygwin?

Haven't tried. But I'm curious to know why you'd want to?

Nope, it was for streaming ttyrecordings but after I tried messing around with getting ADOM to work in cygwin (and failing), I would rather just do it on a linux machine.

Like wine, just the other way around.
Of course it's unfair - that's the whole point.

Seriously, you have no idea what you're talking about.
EDIT: Or at least I strongly suspect that I know more about virtualization and compatibility/emulation layers than you. Whatever.
EDIT 2: It might not be complicated to setup a Linux VM, but do you really want to run a whole fucking OS just for a roguelike? I don't.
EDIT 3: Or are you referring to the DOSBox kind of VMs? Well thats a lot like cygwin, not quite, but roughly as lightweight.
