Started this character by roleplaying, took puppy and druid quests. Killed druid quite easily but in the process had to kill a cat too. Good bye Cat's eye ring. :-( Proceeded to puppy cave.... and when I saw huge herb patterns in PC:2 I couldn't resist the temptation nd started scumming stoma/moss/morgia/aulrania/pepper. Bye bye roleplaying. :-D Got crowned with Iron Crown of Havlor and =fire.
It was already turn 20700+ when I entered Caverns of Chaos the first time with Freya. So yeah, I spent a lot of time with those herb bushes. :-) Went straight to Dwarftown slaughtering one or two lesser vaults on the way. Waldenbrook had some notable equipment on sale including phase dagger on the top notch. Thundarr's quest was large bat if I recall correctly. I cleared Darkforge with the phase dagger before pyramid and the dwarven graveyard.
Anyways from the DFG I found Robes of resistance and eternium flail which I used mostly from that point to the rest of the game. Pyramid posed zero troubles and so did the dwarven graveyard because my DV/PV was like 60/50 already. I returned to DT or something and after that I think I went to get the trident from momma dragon. IIRC then I went back to DT (I was searching for fireproof blankets for ToEF!) and visited Khelavaster and let him die, and did the water temple afterwards.
I found ring of djinni summoning somewhere at this point and wished for ring of weakness (forgot to type 'rings'...) and did the ogre cave. It netted me 4-6 or so strength. I still didn't have a fireproof blanket nor did I have a wand of cold but I still decided to go to the TotHK and try to find an ogre magi. Then an unbeliavable luck stroke me as I found one at the last level before the red lake. :P Lead it to the lake and got it frozen pretty fastly. Finished the skeleton king and the ogre magi and got the ring.
Then I went to the UD in search of equipment/fireproof blankets and I also wanted to eat the oracle. I love eating that old hag. Didn't find any fireproof blankets sooo..... I had over 300hp at that point and 60/60 or so DV/PV but I was still scared to go to the ToEF without any disabling potions/wands.. After thinking awhile I decided to do it anyways keeping a tight check on my HP's at any time. The tower ended up being a cakewalk and I killed the wyrm without disabling him... throwing the trident. (I had trained thrown spears a little).
Then I did the final dive and everything went smoothly. At the casino I found one artifact that was Ring of Immunity - very nice addition. Robbed the shop and dived further. I have killed a good PC to the cat lord before so I was extra cautious zapping two rows of webs and dual wielding shields while shooting poisoned human slaying arrows/quarrels. He got couple hits in at one point but went smoothly still. No real threat.
Air temple was super easy because I got the monk's swapping ability before it. It basicly went like this: ":s :s :s :s :s :s to the secret door leading to the inner temple. Then 's'earch once revealing the door. :s :s :s so I'm infront of Yulgash and shoothim five or so times with human slaying ammo. Had to slay some mobs near the altar so I could kick the orb away from it. (Chaos servants see invisible and would have sacrificed me).
Earth temple was dealt with phase dagger and netted me nice experience. Before mana temple I found little vault of red dragons with one great red wyrm. One ancient dragon dropped shining silver bracers, the bracers of war. Very nice luck. Mana temple was dealt the same way as air temple: swap till you're next to Nuurag-vaarn. I softened him first with poisoned human slayers and ended up bashing him to death (worked better than shooting....).
Uselessness gift was Soaker. -_- First and only bad luck with an artifact this game. D:50 was dealt with wands of destruction this time. I could have finished little faster but I decided to level to 50 with the balors. After that I returned to the surface, killed the black unicorn and left the chain happy.
Overall easy game. If I would have found writing sets I would have cleared D:50 but because I didn't find any my corruption removal was very limited.
