i knew the RNG was setting me up BIG TIME when it gave me two wishes in a row plus no negative effects and several resistances when i needed slbs and aols.
so here is the story of Salon, the great gray elf wizard, who succumbed to a talking ghost bat. without further ado, the flg will explain this a bit better:

by the way, i just spent FOUR turns on the altar:
1)move in the altar
2)offer enough gold to lift spirits
3)drop water potions
4)pick water potions <- G_G.
well, i guess thsi is the first of many. stupid sacrifices.
