Trying to clean some saves off my HD... I often get bored when I'm about to win, so I just let them sit there. This is the ironman I discussed a little while ago. Somewhat soft as I can sort of tell where downstairs are going to be and avoid them on purpose. Basically rolled ~20 drakish priests, got down to Malakai, died on a speed miscalculation. Rolled another ~20, won.

This one had some luck at the beginning as he started with a fire bolt spellbook and soon found another (much later a third) to supplement it. With this offense in mind, I soon picked up a cloak of invis and a ring of doom. I had started with a scroll of uncursing, so what the hell... I put them both on and stayed doomed for like 20 levels. Had to take it off when mobs with see invis started to show up more frequently (that and it's just crazy to be doomed past ID: 25). Killed a chaos knight pretty early for some eternium plate and sword. A couple levels later, a chaos mutant dropped a SoS in a mixed tension room, which was huge - I could now reliably melee quite a few things. Got holy water and blessed ID going for a while... drank a blessed PoGA at one point. Eventually got death ray, another big break. It was very useful against ancient dragons and berserker emperors, which are problematic even with darkness. Once past level 50 I started diving like crazy, mapped Malakai's level, ran in and death rayed him. Much less stressful time going up. :)
