After a few victories in about 200k turns on day 200, I wanted to try a more speedy run. Also, I roleplayed her as a goody-goody girl. She used no dirty tricks like robbing shops or pickpocketing and did all of the lawful side quests. (The cat lord I consider as C-.) Finished under 50K turns, in about 12 hours RL time and on day 53, a big improvement.

I wanted to exploit the hurthling cooking for a very early crowning, so that's why the race. There was no altar in the PC caverns, alas. She killed the black druid, and here I was stupid enough to stash the wand of cold somewhere and forget where I put it. A friendly ice vortex saved the day, later on.

Killed the bandit boss, skipped the UD and rushed to CoC. Gathered some herbs, but nothing excessive. Sacced a big pile of cooked corpses, went back to the big room for some more herbs and corpses. In short order she was crowned L+ with.. the bracers! After that, she did one dive for the second dwarf quest and water temple, finished up all wilderness bussiness up to the tower and dived for the win. With wands of destruction and switching with hostiles, level 50 was a breeze. I spent some unnecessary extra time there because I had not enough junk to throw me back home through D:49. Ironically, I found a potion of uselessness on D:50 while doing this. On the way back she received freaking preserver for it. Killed the black unicorn, found blup's mom and handed in a cooked Chaos Mage corpse as an afterthought.

Other notable stuff.. this is the first game where I never managed to get the wand of teleportation. Just didn't find any wands or scrolls of item detection / magic mapping, at least not in time.

PS: the mana temple was fun too: no detect traps and no wands of trap detection. It was just like Homer Simpson. Doh! Doh! Doh! Doh!
