My first priest win. Overall it was a very smooth and enjoyable run - priests are reasonably good melee fighters and cast spells just as well as wizards. Moreover, they start with much better armor and Detect Item Status is very convenient for gearing early on. Their only disadvantage is lack of ball spellbooks throughout the game (I got 4-5 Teleport books so not sure if these are also supposed to be rare). They are also not guaranteed to get a combat spell at start.

So, my Sword-born Gray Elven Priest did the druid quest first for the ice bolt spellbook, then headed straight into CoC and found 4 herb levels before reaching Dwarftown. The level just before Dwarftown was especially nice: 3 square patches of herbs with 1 of them giving morgia+moss and the other 2 giving stomafillia. Moreover, an infestation of chaos rats in one of the rooms helped to pacify the level quickly. Since I got a lot of stomafillia while training Wi, Dx and To, I decided to get crowned (I was level 11 at the time and already generated si and Black Torc, so couldn't precrown). Ayssia was extremely nice and provided me with fire immunity and Skullcrusher.

After doing dwarven quests and the Pyramid, I decided to dive up to the fire wall and do water temple while I'm at it. Since I couldn't do any special ending being crowned already, Khelavaster died without a second thought. Very soon I bumped into a stone portal of dwarven origin. Damn, always forget this quest!

15 minutes later Dwarven Graveyard and Darkforge (simply bashed golems to death with Skullcrusher - it seems humanoid slaying works on them as well) provided me with 2 RoDS (sorry Khelly!). Since I was becoming a pretty melee oriented priest (swordborn and with a nice artifact weapon), I wished for Find Weakness skill and ring of weakness to improve my meleeing prowess. The idea with Ring of Weakness was to train St to around 30 so I got myself Strained and pressed w5 for a few minutes of real time. Interestingly, even after I put off the ring, skill increases continued for a long time and got my St to 70+.

While I was busy training, the Mad Minstrel stole my stash of scrolls, potions and other valuables, including Ring of the High Kings. He then proceeded to die to an ice bolt to the face. Damn thief. (He also picked up my 4+ PoUHs, quaffed one, and didn't drop any - probably a bug with monster inventories)

ACW was blinded and clubbed to death. Cat Lord was blinded and clubbed to death. Casino didn't have anything interesting except an eternium spear of penetration which I bought and used sometimes instead of Skullcrusher for tough non-humanoid mobs (notably dragons and elementals).

Yulgash died in 2 or 3 hits. The Air Temple level had a tension room with about 30 Ki-rin, which is about thirty times more Ki-rin than I met in previous 11 years playing ADoM. A greater level of titans provided me with Farslayer, Robes of Resistance and a RoDS. Decided to wish for SoCRs since I had 5+ corruptions and no means of corruption removal. The djinni was a tight arse and only gave me 2 scrolls.

Somewhere around Earth Temple I was delivered my hard earned rune-covered trident, which I then used to one-shot stone grues. ASB didn't last long either.

After doing BDC, I visited the Library hoping for some ball spellbooks (didn't have any), but to no avail. About half the books were generated as scrolls instead. I had a spare RoDS from BDC, so as per Grey's suggestion (http://www.adom.de/forums/showthread.php?t=11134) I wished for acid ball spellbooks, blessed them, drank all my potions of boost learning and proceeded to get around 2000 castings, which turned out to be more than enough for Mana Temple and D50, which were done in a typical acidballing wizard-like manner.

I decided to use Yrruir's services before descending to D50 because I had 8 or 9 corruptions and no PoCC or SoCR so was afraid of death from corruption. It turned out that D50 only gave me 4 corruptions. Then I remembered that shop in Dwarftown had magical writing set (4). I managed to write 3 SoCR (lost I think around 2 or 3 mana for each), which was just enough for a corruption free ending. Hoorah.
