My first game on the server, and my first win :). Whole game went pretty smoothly, picked up lots of artifacts, especially weapons along the way.
Firstly, dove down the UD, found a nice level of herbs, which had everything i needed. Stayed there a while, collecting all the spens, stoma, moss, and morgia that i needed for the entire game. Found an altar a neutral altar few floors below, and so converted to N, and got crowned N=. Got Death's Blade, which isn't great, but i used up until the casino, and although it lacks slaying powers it can do some pretty large raw damage - before i gave it up his average damage on beserk was 101.
Did all the dwarven quests without difficulty, and had blasted through the water temple. Had sufficient blankets so got some logs, got the ring of high kings, and then went to the tower. The wrym went down to two mighty blows, didn't even need disablement. I cleared most of the tower too, and then descended.
In the casino found executor, which i used for the rest of the game. I stole it and game back after doing the earth and air temples, to kill the shopkeeper for the exp.
Earth and air temples were simple enough, managed to tremendous blow Yulgash before he could summon anything nasty. Again blasted through earth temple easily enough, and at this point some annoying guy called gutt started "advising" me :p. Cleared a couple of vaults, which netted me RoI and a few weapons.
Also round a RoDS, and wished for concentration, and went up to the rift, to see how bad a barbarian would be at spellcasting. The answer is pretty damn bad, half the books exploded when being read, ah well. Rift also got us some corruption removal which turned out I needed pretty badly, I picked up mana battery at least 4 times through the course of the game, and the dwarven mystic thought it would be cool to give me potions of insight.
By the time I reached mana temple, the char was pretty much a tank, however, decided to range Nuurag-Vaarn with some human slaying ammo. Uselessness gift was robes of resistance. D50 went smoothly, really smoothly apparently, I picked up sulphuric breath which help deal with the ghosts, without breaking my cover of being invisible. I killed the two balors on the levers, then stuck some monsters on them and said goodbye. Had allready reached l50 a while before D50, and didn't feel like picking up even more corruptions.
Went up to do the white unicorn quest, to clear all the corruptions. Decided to try out my true beserker powers on the black unicorn, then went back to the white unicorn, and while lusting for blood, accidently hit here :mad:. I still wanted some corruption removal though, so went to the BUGCAV, and cleared that without too much panic. Those spells picked up earlier proved to be pretty useful, along with offensive alchemy picked up from a scroll of education. The SoCR from the temple weren't quite enough, so write myself a couple, and then left corruption free.
