First win - grey elven wizard

Yeah. I did it at last. I managed to win the game. Well it took 7 years and a vast amount of stupid deaths.

Actually - I am not sure whether it counts. I restored the savegame file once. I lost the PC when the game crashed. This PC never died - so I personally do not classify my backup as save scumming.

Although I was a little bit tempted more than once. I have done several stupid things - e.g. I lost all equipped items on a wrong altar TWICE. Both times there were 7lb as boots.
And I had unintentionally fried 2 cave lions using Fireball - when the cat ring was mine already. I did not know that ball spells work through the wall. Figured that by the hard way :)

1st kill - outlaw.
Tried to save the puppy and failed: it was generated in a room with dark elf warrior and died almost instantly.
Find herbs in PC. Trained miserable To:5 to something more decent.
Tried to get AoLS using ID stairhop. Got 7lbs and blink dog corpse.
Got an AoLS in Darkforge. Obtained wish via the pool. Was doomed too - but also become permanently invisible. Got a teleportitis in the process and drink some more until got rid of it. Did not lose teleport control.
Saved Khelavaster.
Lured banshee to Animated Forest. Got a RoJS among other things.
Left banshee among trees. Renamed PC. Yes I had forgotten to do so with one of my previous wizards.
Tried to sacrifice on a wrong altar - equipment was destroyed.
Used the ring wish for more 7lb, got 2 pairs.
Accidentally lost all my fireproof blankets on an acid trap.
Raided the library.
Raided ToEF with just 2 sources of resistance and unprotected 7lb (all the rest was artifacts and high metal) and without any item in my inventory. Got Bloated beforehand and Used Magic Map and teleport heavily.
Obtained Courage.
Struck the Casino, got another pair of 7lb, Preserver and much money. Well I paid for everything.
Decided not to pursue ultra ending and got crowned.
Killed the banshee.
Got the cat ring.
Lost all equipment on a lawful altar for a second time.
Got 6 wishes from a wand. Spent one for Ancient Karmic Wyrm and another one for Emperor Moloch. Got level 50.
Got 2 wishes from another wand. Wished for raider lord and the cute dog.
Spare Sharad-Waador. Did his quest.
Obtained TotRR.
Obtained orbs. Lost the RoMC during the battle in Air Temple.
Completely cleared D:50 with Acid Balls.

IIRC, you only get the achievement for raider lord if you deliver the corpse.

Yes I did, but as a wizard I really hate teleportitis, it is really embarrassing during book reading.

Sure I can read any book in non-teleporting area, but I am a little bit paranoid about corruption.

I have a kind of obsession for cute dog and Kranach. I always try to kill one and save another - or vise versa. Lost numbers of PCs in the process :).

How do you "save" Kranach? Do you hand him a tract of order and try to "haggle" with him to convince him to mend his evil ways? Or are we talking necromancy?

I prefer more radical means. Slice him with bolt spell and thus save his immortal soul from a greater harm of being a raider lord :)

BTW, to give him a tract of order is an interesting idea.
