October 26 is a bad day to play the game?

Wow...

Today I tried to continue a game and died. Pounded by Trolls and hydras.

Started five (5!!) new games. Every game, I died in the "local" Terynio dungeon. Ganged up on me with multiple hill giants, grizzly bears, trolls, and hydras!

Man, talk about a tough crowd!

You don't have to play ADOM II on any particular day for the first levels of dungeons to be kind of wonky :p . This is a bug which I believe is related to where your last character died. To deal with this you can either start a new game and intentionally die in a safe spot (a town or the wilderness), or lead the tough monsters out of the dungeon until you find the down stairs (subsequent levels will feature monsters of normal difficulty).
