How to use Wand of far slaying?
sometimes it`s working pefectly, but most of the times (especially when its the question of life and death) it fires back at me even if there is no walls to bounce!!!



P.S. How many years should pass for me to learn using darkness when I meet vortex or doppleganger king!!!! :-D

Well, you zap it in a direction, choose the amount of mana to be devoted into it and press ENTER. The more mana you give, the more powerful it will be. Since its range is so extreme, it will probably bounce back on you eventually, unless there is a door at the end, because stuff doesn't bounce from doors. Personally, I find that the wand deals too little damage to have any actual use in combat, and it's best used to (spoiler) get the attention of bosses surrounded by monsters, such as the ACW.

May be I`m wrong but I recall backfires even in wilderness where is no walls at all!

potential uses i know:

use directly avoiding bounce:
wilderness or into door... early game all these delven archers don't really have much to do with mana... Trains concentration at least...

zap for 1 to wake distant target... there is method of casino rob with distant zap....

suicide use: put AoLs on put mob with good xp in close quarters.. [3x3 romm] and zap for god... bounces will kill you both and you will be revived with nice xp.. It was the way eternium man attempts leveled up actually...

drain it with mana battery corruption together with other useless wands...

well suicidal use is quite useless i think ))
AolS is much more precious IMHO.. )
