I notice that yesterday a new record of 175 users online was set. Does anyone know what the reason for that might be?

Just curious.

Honestly, there's a good chance it is mostly spambots trying to log in.

Yes, this was probably caused by the BackLinkTest crawler (http://www.backlinktest.com/crawler.html).

What does the term 'spambot' mean exactly. It cannot be a bot right? So is it a software of some kind?
