View Full Version : [Creator's Day RRC] Saleya, the grey-elven ranger

Hey guys, I have also started a character on version 1.1.1., a female wand-born, gray-elven ranger by the name of Saleya. Her start was quite dramatical... with bow, 5 PV and both herbalism and healing she tried to dive into the unremarkable dungeon directly, but was encountered by a dangerous horde of hobgoblins on the way. With the use of missiles and one prayer she was luckily able to escape and enter the cave, but there she directly had to face some nasty blink dogs, but she managed to beat them, too. At that point she was already at lvl 5 and had not yet explored much of the small cave, so she decided to retreat and explore the druid dungeon instead. There she managed to dive into the bottom level to spawn Kethrax. On DD6 she outrunned a pussy cat that followed her up from the bottom level, but there should be no need to dive down there in the next time anyway because all levels below the current one are already completely explored (except the bottom one of course). On DD5 there is a lawful altar, which Saleya used to convert to lawful belief herself, though she is still at quite low piety. She learned treasure hunter and quick and is currently at experience lvl 6. She changed to sling and rocks at the moment in order to save her arrows for the really tough guys. Well, and her first kill was a Grizzly bear.

The next player might continue to explore the upper druid dungeon levels in hope of loot and experience. The altar is great for status ID and it might also be worth sacrificing some neutral and chaotic foes in order to get an emergency prayer.

A beautiful lady has passed away, sad news to start the day with :-(
If I may ask, why did you get back to that small cave? In my eyes the waterproof blanket is not that much of a high priority target and with a character above level four or five the risk of dying is so high that I would definitely not have come back without some means of invisibility, teleportation or at least healing.

Well I was hoping that one of the blink dogs would still be alive, teleport control is the most important intrinsic in the game. Also was trying for an UD run. The character was still only level 6 and had plenty of PV, if I had been more careful I could easily have made it. Again, sorry..
