Does the corruption "your mouth has become a writhing mass of prehensile tentacles" prevent one from getting the weird tome? I feel as if I am offending the librarian when I fail to 'C'hat with him. I'm probably just being paranoid because the other mouth-related corruption interferes with this quest. I'm a female human merchant, for what it's worth.
