Robin Hood started his adventuring by learning Pick Pockets and killing a mugger. After that he plunged into the UD to see if he was worthy to live. He came out safely with an eternium broadsword which remained his weapon for a long time. He went on to the CoC and received the quest to kill an annis hag, living on speed, first aid and arrows all this time. But instead of looking for an annis hag he decided that he needed the healing skill anyway and so he went back to save a carpenter from insanity. For good measure he also explored the puppy cave and found a level with several good herb patches, boosting his stats and his survival chances with food and cures and healings. Nicely enough there also was a neutral altar on PC2 where he could identify stuff and bless water.
After this excellent start he cleared the upper level of the dwarven graveyard, pickpocketing in the process for money. He then got precrowned at level 15 (with only the si so far) with the Staff of the Wanderer. This was what got Robin thinking about an ultra ending since he likes to wander but prefers a bow as weapon, and he remembered seeing a scroll of danger in the HMV. So after his crowning he robbed the pyramid of some artifacts and then the underground level of the dwarven graveyard too without much trouble. Shooting arrows is just that awesome as an archer. Also he found 7LB somewhere. To round off his artifact gathering he also got the Phial out of the gremlin cave and, after some effort, the RotHK (after some searching for a wand of cold). Here he also finally found his annis hag but, much more nicely, he also found some Shining Silver Bracers right next to the entrance of the Tomb!!!

With all dungeons around done, mr. Hood decided to help out some Dwarves by exploring the Dwarven Halls, killing some ogres and becoming the Champion of the Arena. He also went to Darkforge where he killed all golems with 2 sets of construct-slayers and grabbed the Crown of Science (where he got teleported into randomly because he forgot to remove his helm of teleportation). Finally he also shot down a greater daemon who was paying a visit to the Dwarves and was rewarded with a lead mace.
He then went chaotic and fed the ratling 6 artifacts: Phial, Big Punch, Staff of the Wanderer, Crown of Science, Sword of Nonnak and the Ancient Scythe. He gave the Golden Gladius to Bart in exchange for some trainings. As an aspiring ultra he immediately went to the High Mountain Village to receive the Quest of the Hunter from an old witch. He then shot down the Oracle and ate her for dooming and started hunting boars. The 5th boar gave a skull which was promptly forwarded to Gaab'Baay. All other objects where also easy to find (especially the scroll of danger had been spotted before in the HMV shop!) except for the Potion of Cure Corruption. So Robin Hood went back to the CoC, converted to the Law on an altar 1 level below dwarftown, got rid of his dooming and then cleared the Water Temple for a PoCC. The Medal of Chaos was dumped in DF, and poolsipping was tiresome but delivered a wish at some point. Gave the amulet of life saving to Khelavaster and explored down to the Wall of Flames, clearing two minor dragon vaults for lots of money. Saccing it made him a Champion of Law, crowned with =Cold and Farslayer, YAY!

With a ring of ice on his finger and a red-dragon scale mail on his back, Robin Hood cleared out the whole Fire temple by a combination of melee (on non-corrupting monsters) and arrows/quarrels. He then did the same to the Air Temple. Somewhere around this point he also found a very nice adamantium battle axe of devastation which was his main weapon now. Checking the day progress he decided to dispatch of Keriax but arrived way too early due to his 7LB, so he jumped into the rift instead. There he cleared out the whole Library while learning a bunch of spells. As a reward he also received the Weird Tome. Then he entered the Stone Circle and killed Keriax with 4 arrows of dragon slaying. He delivered the Weird Tome to the Mad Minstrel and brought a visit to the Water Dragon Lair while bringing Keriax corpse to Guth'Alak.
Back to the CoC he decided to experience some good old bunny hunting and so he took the long way around the bunny level and had to kill quite some bunnies. His intention was to see how mutated battle bunnies would look like in the new sprites but alas, he killed all bunnies before they could appear. He descended straight into a Cat Lord a few levels later and quickly went up again with that Master Feline on his heels, teleported away, cast web and poisoned him to death with random arrows (no humanoid slayers found yet). The casino had nothing interesting really and also decided to corner him because he scared away the customers at some point, so he quickly teleported out without causing too much of a mess, using the shortcut from now on.

Further down he cleared the Earth Temple and another minor dragon vault. Because he was close to level 30 he decided to enter the Minotaur Maze. Several hours later he came out victorious, being stat-drained twice but with no other noticeable damage and with on the uphand 6 additional PoGAs (making 9 total), 4 PoCCs and two useless artifacts (Minotaur Axe and Hammer of the Gods). He also killed a White Unicorn in need for an additional 6 PoGAs, which he all drank in order to become a superhero (although a somewhat corrupted one).

The Blue Dragon Caves were quite doable by shooting most major wyrms to death quite easily. Robin also found True Aim somewhere around the rubbish of the last two levels. The combination of Robins skills and the Silver Arrows powers made a nice combination, although it was a pity it was incompatible with Farslayer. Robin also left about 800k gold pieces in the caves for the wandering poor (and because it started to weigh too much to carry around). He considered it a cheap price for such an artifact as True Aim, whose aesthetics and usefulness is just invaluable (who has ever seen a returning arrow?!)

Robin went on to the Mana Temple and cleared it all the way, which took quite some time because of all the summoners. But he had cleared all temples so far and wanted to deliver decent work here too. This brought him to level 45 and thus he went back to the surface again. He accepted a job for murder from the Assassin Prince and decided to practice on him straightaway, which was a little tougher than he expected (but nothing life-threatening). He then ended the Song of Filk on ID1 by casting a Lightning Ball. He also cleared the Bug Temple when at the Mad Minstrels by archery mainly (and a few Lightning Balls in the start) and then went on to the Scintillating Cave. Here he encountered an emperor lich which was basically blocking the way with large amounts of summons. Robins helm of teleportation kicked in and teleported him to the downstairs. Not much else was encountered except for some kind of Emperor on the lowest level (and some of his underlings on the way which where shot down with 2-3 arrows and gave tonnes of experience), which was killed quickly by some penetrating arrows. Robin found a weird-looking scroll and gave it to Khelavaster (after some difficulty to not make a mess by getting into Munxips line of sight) and got the TotRR. A despisable artifact it was according to Robin, but sometime one has to lay aside some principles of honest swordfights and bows and arrows just to get through some cheaters gate. Talking about cheating gates Robin remembered suddenly also some kind of tree full of quicklings, which he entered with a longbow and true aim. Here he upgraded his speed from about 120 to 166. Combined with 7LB and long stilts Robin was a pretty quick runner but he was a faster bowmen still!

So Robin picked up the Crown and Medal of Chaos and put them on D48. Then he returned to the Undead Vault on D45, now with a level 50 piercing ability and True Aim in his pocket. The emperor liches were still quite tough but Robin Hood could kill them quite safely by combinations of Lightning Balls (which was unreliable because of the babbling mouth corruption) and ammunition (which was reliable but finite, and you don't want to spend time picking up arrows next to some emperor liches). The liches did gave him an heart attack by summoning a bunch of gorgons and Robin quickly teleported out to dispatch them from a distance. He could not wear an amulet of petrification resistance at the same time as the amulet of death ray resistance (and he wasn't sure if his other artifacts protected him from death rays).
Clearing the undead vault took some time but RoBiN (who got about 14 corruptions now) prevailed in the end. He was rewarded with Brannalbins Cloak, which was quite handy on D50 and is a nice artifact to have always. He also got Wyrmlance and Kinslayer (which he used a little on D50 as he was nicely trained in Swords).

On D49 Robin was rewarded with Nature's Companion. On D50 he summoned an emperor lich as his companion but didn't trust him too much so he put on an amulet of life saving anyway. Then he went to clear the level. This went smoothly by shooting arrows straight through hordes of chaos critters and he quickly had reached both levers to stop the background corruption. Then he opened up a door to the main chamber and started shooting humanoid and demon slayers through the balors and chaos wizards before him. Most were dead before they could move too much, so RoBiN, true to his principles so far, cleared the whole of D50 and checked with a wand of monster detection before opening the levers again. He then removed all his corruptions gained so far (which took all of his SoCRs which he had left, leaving him with 5 PoCC only from now on), prepared some arrows, multiplied some holy water (only 6 pots left with over 25 uncursed ones) and then jumped into the netherrealm.
Here he met an incredibly pink-looking guy called AnDoR dRaKoN who claimed to be the boss behind this all and who was very fond of darkness (which Robin also would be if he would be as pink). For such foolish words (how can a pink guy be the boss?) Robin decided to punish him, so he put off his crown and medal of chaos, put on his normal gear again and started shooting random missiles at him. This took quite a while but was effective nonetheless, which was a bit of a pity since Robin was also tempted to see what his wand of paralyzation or destruction would do to pink-looking-guys. But alas, Mr. Drakon quickly fell to the arrows without being able to come close to Robin (who had also drunk two potions of boost speed for good measure).

And so Robin became an Avator of Order, teaching all Ancardians to despise money (money is for the poor!) and love archery (which is for those people who know what to aim for). He then started to write his memoirs but found out that many memories were missing, so instead he decided to simply make it all up, which his public found even more interesting up to the point of the pink-guy-pretends-to-be-boss. Here things became too unrealistic and many critics believed that pink-guys just couldn't do such absurd things as pretending to be boss. It was close to suggesting that Mr. Hood could possibly have been born pink as well, which was a thought they couldn't bear. But this all leads too afar away so instead I will here end this biography of Robin Hood, President, Holy Guardian and Maecenas of Ancardias Archery Association.

He was a very nice character because he needed little grinding (for example the level 45 for the assassin quest was done without aiming for it already). Only the wish and the Minotaur Maze were a little annoying.

Btw, don't make too much of the pinkness, I mainly needed it for the story. But yeah, Andor Drakon doesn't look as impressive as his monster memory. All I remembered when writing this report was 'some kind of pinkness about him' :P

Also what was kind of surprising this game was that my 7LB and girdle of carrying both lasted all game and that I didn't find a single random wish (which I generally do have randomly at some point on ultras).
