Because it was a win, gosh darnit.
Elyn the level 50 High Elf Priest slew the denizens of D:50 and closed the Chaos Gate,
and was a paragon of Correlius (L+). She didn't get any SoCR from the Mystic, instead
grabbing his axe and happily chopping her way through until Skullcrusher (in the casino)
and the rune-covered trident (obtained at level 22) appeared.
She found 3 GREATER vaults: greater undead, karmic beings, and fire creatures.
The karmic vault contained Hammer of the Gods and Thunderstroke.
The undead vault contained the Black Tome of Alsophacus and the Bracers of War.
The fire vault contained Serpent's Bite and Preserver.
I did not get a chance to actually get the tome, the bracers, or Serpent's Bite, but I did see
them drop and get picked up by enemies I couldn't get to in a reasonable amount of
time. I followed the advice of vogonpoet, mike and jellyslayer, I wished for many acid ball
spellbooks, and ended up exploding everything in my way, Ancient Blue Wyrm, balors and
all. Dispel Undead actually took care of the Ghost Lords on D:50 easily enough.
I got Robes of Resistance from D:49 uselessness, which I used on D:50.
I escaped from D:50 and the CoC with only one corruption from the final dive, but I forgot
my SoCRs in Dwarftown. So I go traipsing back, teleporting down to it...until I hit D:8.
Suddenly, keypresses were ignored, and the game closes, and I get a warning that the
program had to close.
Oh well.
