Kicked in on exactly the right turn, just before character would have died. I was under the impression Dorn Beasts could only paralyze if you melee them, well won't see me standing next to them again.

Believe me, if I had one I would have donned it. 99% of the time I slay Dorn Beasts at range, long before they've reached me. This bugger was tough though. He was Critically insured upon reaching me and I thought the next shot would finish him.

Haven't been paralyzed by a Dorn Beast in 10 years, learned my lesson way back then. You are never to old too learn in this game.

Edit - I should also add that, if it was not for the bracers of toughness {+4To} this guy is wearing we would have this thread. +3To in the tool slot might also have been sufficient. :p
