I rolled a Raven Gnome Assassin for p20 planning to get the RCT before doing pyramid and use it for the rest of the game. Of course, that's not quite how it worked out..
Started with swords since I found a nice green adamantium scimitar in UD. Did your usual bevy of early quests. On D:2 I felt a surging pulse of power (artifact room!), but I had no magic mapping or digging, so I had to wait to take it on until later.
Thrundarr was nice and assigned me yet another rarely randomly generated, but nigh guaranteed monster: a tarantula, so I hung around the big room hoping for some d. elf summoners. Eventually got a wizard, but it took about 3 spurts of summoning before he finally gave me a tarantula. At this point, I fooled around below DT a bit to hit level 14 (easy on a gnome), and headed off to do Griffyard (since I had some white dragon-hide gauntlets).
I'd found a wand of digging, teleportation, and a scroll of magic mapping, so on the way out I hit the D:2 room. The monsters were very tough and it was guarded by a named vampire, so I actually wound up running away and teleporting back to pick up...a cursed Wyrmlance, which I never wound up using. Hit up Blup's mom on the way to Griffyard.
Did Griffyard w/ no trouble and hit level 16 on my first mob in the Pyramid and exited to fight some random encounters and get the RCT, which I obtained while destroying a gnoll war party. The Pyramid went quite easily afterwards.
Next was TOTHK, another cakewalk w/ RCT + ring of the clear mind. Then came crowning (Kinslayer), saving Khelly (I'd found an AOLS before DT), and water temple (snake was no slouch, but I didn't have too much trouble). Did DFG and poolsipped - was looking for a wish, but instead got -Fire (much needed) and +Invis (actually from a CoC pool, since I had to go back to DT to get undoomed), so I quit sipping and went off to do TOEF. ACW was super easy, requiring just three zaps of a wand of poison and one berserk hit with the RCT.
Found a nice hill giant vault on the way to the casino, so I equipped Kinslayer and made short work of them. The Casino had some nice +13 PV adamantium full plate armor, so I pilfered that and many other things (7LBs & +8PV eternium boots as well). Got master cat ring. Kept Kinslayer on until I came to D:40 or so: HUGE ghost king room (killed 69 of these guys first w/ RCT), greater giant vault (Kinslayer time again), and a hill giant/troll tension room. Being invisible, I eliminated the outer ring easily and the inner room was also a cakewalk. In the corner closest to the door, though, I found a JET-BLACK BATTLE AXE - queue massive excitement. I completed the rest of the game with it (I didn't want the RNG to kill the cute dog, which was chilling on PC:6 and which I eventually forgot to save). I also found the silver key, which is a pretty nice randart.
Perhaps the most exciting portion of the game was MT: I got a few corruptions there (had to clear the flesh-ridden maggot corruption for the first of three times despite hitting only 8 corruptions total) and Nuurgy gave me the acidic blood corruption. His biggest mistake, as it turns out, since it dissolved him in the end, muahahaha.
D:50 was also a cakewalk, but I opted for the wand of destruction ending to conserve turns. My armor also lost 5PV :(. Forgetting I had 9 leftover SOCR, I went to do unicorn quest; wound up having to use 3 to even talk to Yrruir but did the quest anyway since I was there. Then I left the chain.

An unbelievable accident, to be honest. Despite having the turn counter shown in the dynamic display, I hadn't been paying attention to it on the way up. For some reason, I decided to eat some cooked lizards before leaving the chain and it wound up being 55555 turns.
..maybe my subconscious noticed the turn count and guided my actions.
