Let's play ADOM: Quest for the Ice Queen

Hey everybody,
I have just started a new Let's Play series on youtube where Georgia, a mist elven barbarian glass cannon girl, roams the Drakalor Chain in order to find the legendary new location and her frosty majesty :-) So if you want to join Georgia on her adventures, here's the place to look for the latest episodes!
As always, your feedback is very much appreciated, just please don't spoil me about the realm of the Ice Queen... that would somehow destroy the tension, I'm afraid ;-)

hey guys and girls :)
i really enjoy watching your lets play (modulus the scumming for rocks which in hindsight saved ur life so cant say anything)
i especially enjoy watching it when im tired and pissed of at adom for having doppelganger kings crit me for 900 points of damage zzzz

also... i think u could have gone down the pc easily cause u had magic missile wand with 1 charge which would have easily killed off the monters if they were in a str8 line which they were at 1 point

I enjoyed how enthusiastic you are to keep poor Georgia alive :) That fight in the small cave was admirably accomplished and I don't think I could have survived that situation.

Btw, you should talk to Yggaz a few times next time you're in Terinyo.

Hey Gordon, I just wanted to thank you for doing these Let's Play videos. I started watching with your Gordizzl adventures and haven't stopped watching since, including your excellent FTL and Cataclysm series. Really enjoying Georgia's adventures and look forward each day to a new part being uploaded. I wish her all the best, and let's hope she makes it to the Ice Queen!

Hey gordon just a heads up with the ME not sure if your aware or not but once you manage to get a pair of gloves you are able to use normal metal shields and weapons as the gloves protect your skin. this is the same with girdles while wearing armor.

hey gordon, i commented on your video but ill repeat myself here...you shud just drink your !oinvis and try to run to the down stairs...but beware if it is cursed potion you are doomed !!! but all things considered it is your best hope since tarantulas are extremely dangerous even for troll and orcs let alone a mist elf let alone a mist elf on 20 hp, no -pois , true berserking, low lvl and no prayers !!

aahh interesting, does the armour go over the girdle or the girdle on top?

girdle goes on top of armor and an interesting fact if you have on a cursed girdle you cant remove your armor

+1 to the potion of invisibility comment. Also remember you have that wand of magic missiles if you get trapped.

Having a lot of fun watching this series! Very nice job escaping the small cave. I'd probably be tempted to wear a shield and what armor you have (at least for the spiders and other poisoners) but you've already shown you can cope with worse :-)

One caveat in case you didn't know: In p23 stepping on a statue can crash the game (similar to the bug a few prereleases ago but only happens for one/a few statues).

Also, why didn't you just line the spiders up, go on coward, and blast them with your wand of of far slaying? Your alertness would have kept you from getting hit, and you could have killed all the spiders and the wizard with a few shots. I hate seeing characters die with so much good equipment in their inventory. :)

Haha, sorry! Your suggestion might have worked and I also loved the idea to try the potion of invisibility, but actually I already recorded this episode more than a whole week ago begore the suggestion was made. However, I am on a good streak at the moment (three winners during the last three weeks), so I'm gonna make use of the momentum and start another char... let's see what the RNG wants me to play next ;-)

I really don't understand why you let poor Sirius walk around hungry! so much. Especially when you're lugging around a lot of food.
